Yesterday, I was a panelist at the APG Webinar on "NAVAGING THE GENEALOGICAL BUSINESS LANDSCAPE IN LATIN AMERICA." My colleagues Adrianne McQuillan (Panama) and Virgilio Garza Zambrano (Mexico) and I discussed what it's like to be a genealogist in our countries, what motivated us to pursue this profession, and the challenges we've faced along the way.

I attended the official opening meeting of the 2nd Stage of the São Paulo City Street Dictionary Project. This is a partnership between Associação Brasileira de Pesquisadores de História e Genealogia (ASBRAP) and the Municipal Historical Archives that aims to attribute biographies to the people gave their names to the city's streets.

Participei da reunião oficial de abertura da 2ª Etapa do Projeto Dicionário de Ruas da Cidade de São Paulo. Esta é uma parceria da Associação Brasileira de Pesquisadores de História e Genealogia (ASBRAP) e Arquivo Histórico Municipal (AHM) que visa atribuir biografias as pessoas homenageadas com seus nomes nas ruas da cidade.

This Thursday I attended Michele Cartusciello's lecture at the Circolo Italiano San Paolo. He spoke about Italian documents that are rarely sought after but have great genealogical value. He also spoke about planning to visit the land of our ancestors and the impact this has on our lives. After the event, I participated in the ASBRAP Tertulia at the club's restaurant. This is a monthly event that allows for great exchanges of experiences.

Nesta quinta feira assisti a palestra do Michele Cartusciello no Circolo Italiano San Paolo. Ele falou sobre documentações italianas pouco procuradas, mas de grande valor genealógico. Ele também falou sobre o planejamento para visitar a terra dos ancestrais e o impacto que isto traz nas nossas vidas. Após o evento, participei da Tertulia da ASBRAP no restaurante do clube. Um evento mensal que permite grandes trocas de experiências.

Foi ao ar pela PBS o episódio 6 da 11ª temporada de Finding Your Roots, onde trabalhei nas pesquisas dos antepassados da parte materna de Natalie Morales. Fico feliz em ter contribuido para ela conhecer um pouco mais sobre a história de sua familia e por ela ter gostado do resultado.

Today I received another diploma for my continued studies in the field of Genealogy. There is always something new to learn, whether it is changes in laws, new repositories or research optimization processes. I remain attentive and dedicated to opportunities that allow me to offer an increasingly better genealogical research service.
