A Associação dos Estudantes de Medicina do Brasil (AEMED) surgiu da vontade de estudantes de medicina em se fazerem representar de forma livre e desvinculada de interesses externos. ileira, a AEMED nasce oficialmente como instituição, composta por um time de estudantes dispostos a reescrever o conceito do que se considera representação e associativismo no Brasil. Entendemos que além de cuidar de representatividade, somos também uma plataforma de formação e união de estudantes de medicina com perfil de liderança que, futuramente, impactarão positivamente na saúde e em diversas áreas. Adotamos como nossos valores a liderança, a ciência, a educação médica, a liberdade, a inovação, a colaboração e a representatividade. EN: The Brazilian Medical Student Association (AEMED) arose from the desire of medical students to make themselves represented in a free manner, disconnected from external interests. In 2011, this group of students, dissatisfied with the status quo of student representation, began to dream with a new way of giving voice to their demands. In 18th of July, 2014, with support of the Brazilian Medical Association, AEMED is officially born as an institution, made by a team of students willing to rewrite the concept of what is considered representation and association in Brazil. We understand that besides working for representativeness, we are also a platform for training and unity of medical students with a leadership profile that, in the future, will positively impact in health and in several areas. We have chosen leadership, science, medical education, freedom, innovation, collaboration and representativeness as our core values.
