The Bahamas Dental Association is a proud member of The World Dental Federation (FDI)

This year the Bahamas was the host country of a 2 day Caricom workshop intended to develop new strategies & formulate new regional policies for the advancement of Oral Health (specifically oral-systemic health) in participating nations.

To kick start the event, Her Excellency, Leslia Brice welcomed Caricom Dental Leaders & Physicians from far & wide. Countries represted were, the UK, Africa, Canada, Jamaica, Barbados, Geneva, America & of course The Bahamas.

Representing The Bahamas were:

Dr. Mitchell Lockhart (Chief Dental Officer, Ministry of Health)

Dr. Joyous Pickstock (Retired Consultant in Dental Public Health)

Dr. Gill Gibson (FDI’s National Liason Officer for The Bahamas Dental Association)

Dr. Donna Jones (Former Dental Director at UMass Chan Medical School-Office of Clinical Affairs & Consultant in Dental Public Health)

Dr. Shamika Strachan (President of The Bahamas Dental Association)

The Bahamas Dental Association along with participating dental practices will be;

SPREADING HOPE BY SPREADING SMILES!

During the month of October 12 dental offices owned by various Association Members will be providing complimentary oral examinations (evaluations).

Each practice has various days when they will provide the service and some rules and restrictions may apply.

Call your prefered office for futher details on how to book.

Proof of breast cancer diagnosis must be provided in the form of a doctors letter or diagnostic report.

There will be an opportunity to take photos with the Dentist and their team members who renders your service.

So come photo ready!!!
