Interesting, this article proposed that “the cancer-preventive action of aspirin is due to its principal metabolite, salicylic acid, and that dietary salicylates can have the same effect.”

The article also proposed “that natural salicylates contribute to the other recognized benefits of a healthy diet.”

What are the foods contain high content of salicylates? Broccoli, cauliflower, cucumber, mushrooms, radishes, spinach, and zucchini; vegetables from the nightshade family, like eggplant and peppers

About me

Vis Medicatrix Naturae is the dogma that has guided me through the past five years in pursuing naturopathic medicine. VMN refers to the "healing power of nature". I am passionate in the human body's innate ability to heal itself. Nature rejuvenates our vital forces through encouraging, assisting, and enhancing the healing procecsses of everything in nature.

I have obtained a honored bachelor's degree in 2013 from University of Toronto, specializing in Pharmaceutical chemistry with a major in physiology. Following the path of my passion, I continued my medical training at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. It consists of a four-year medical program in the science of natural healing, where I obtained a doctor degree of Naturopathic Medicine. Our body system sends out various signals whenever you are in stress or in need of sleep. Majority of the time, we don't need to wait for a lab test to tell us what our system needs. Carefully listen to our body's signals and take corrective actions. Taking into considerations of each individual's uniqueness and to treat them through individualized treatments, I'll implement Clinical nutrition, lifestyle management, Traditional Asian medicine, acupuncture, botanical medicine, and physical medicine in my practice.
