AIDS, also known as acquired immunodeficiency syndrome is derived from HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) which is a s*xually transmitted disease.

Contraction of the disease derives from not only a**l, vaginal, and oral s*x but also through blood (dirty needles) or from infected mother to child.

Today is World AIDS day which strives to bring awareness to this disease that plagues

4% of our population is infected with HIV making The Bahamas the second-worst affected country.
