🎉 CELEBRATING 16 YEARS OF IMPACT! 🎉

On September 7, 2025, The National L.E.A.D. Institute marks 16 years of unwavering commitment to Leadership, Esteem, Ability, and Discipline. From our humble beginnings in New Providence, to now operating out of Freeport, Grand Bahama, we’ve seen the hand of God through every season — the highs, the lows, the breakthroughs, the battles. And yet, through it all, the Vision still lives. The Mission still leads.

We’ve trained, mentored, restored, and transformed countless lives across The Bahamas, the Caribbean, and the United States — in community corrections, capacity building, domestic violence training, substance use prevention and treatment, youth rehabilitation, and more.

What started as a dream has become a movement.

To every supporter, partner, staff member, graduate, and stakeholder — THANK YOU. Your prayers, belief, and commitment helped us press forward when quitting seemed easier. Now, we celebrate this milestone with gratitude, humility, and great anticipation for the next chapter.

From the streets to the schools, from the prison gates to professional platforms — L.E.A.D. continues to be a beacon of HOPE, HELP, and HEALING.

Let’s continue to Renew. Rebuild. Reshape.
Empowering Lives. Transforming Futures.
One person. One family. One community at a time.

I had an inspiring dream twice this morning, where the Minister of Education appeared and spoke of the importance of applying experience and expertise to support efforts in addressing crime in our nation. It’s a reminder of the journey we all share in making a positive impact. I’m honored to have served as Deputy Chairman of the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services, and I'm ready to contribute wherever my skills can support a brighter, safer future. 🌟

Spiritual Warfare in the Bahamas: A Call to Arms

Introduction: In recent times, it is clear that we are facing more than just societal and cultural challenges in the Bahamas—we are engaged in spiritual warfare. The alarming trends we see in the nation, from population decline to the rise in murders and domestic violence, are not just physical or social issues. They are manifestations of a deeper spiritual battle for the heart and soul of our people. We cannot remain silent, for the enemy is at work, and it is our duty as believers to sound the alarm, to speak the truth, and to call our nation back to God.

1. Population Decline and the Decline of Family Structures:
The decline in marriage rates and the increase in divorces and legal separations are not just signs of a changing culture but evidence of a spiritual attack on the very foundation of society—the family. In its biblical context, marriage is a sacred covenant that mirrors Christ’s relationship with the church (Ephesians 5:25-33). When marriage is devalued or abandoned, it opens the door to spiritual confusion and moral decay.

The lack of interest in marriage among the younger generation is a direct assault on the institution ordained by God for love, partnership, and the upbringing of children. Without strong families, we see fewer babies being born, and the next generation is left spiritually and emotionally vulnerable. The enemy seeks to dismantle the family unit because it is the foundation of both the church and society.

Spiritual Warfare Insight:
The Bible speaks of the family as a powerful tool in spiritual warfare. In Malachi 2:16, God says He hates divorce because it disrupts the godly legacy He desires to create. Satan knows that attacking marriages weakens the family, leading to a generational loss of faith and spiritual covering.

2. The Rise of Violence and Murder Among Young Men:
The increasing murder rates, particularly among the male population, is a clear sign of spiritual warfare. Many young men in our nation are growing up without fathers, direction, and a sense of purpose. The enemy has taken advantage of this void, leading them down paths of violence, gangs, and crime.

We must recognize that this violence is not just a social issue but a spiritual attack on our nation's future leaders. These young men are meant to be warriors for God’s kingdom but are consumed by anger, hopelessness, and the enemy's lies. As the body of Christ, we must step in with spiritual authority, speak life and purpose over them, and offer mentorship, guidance, and prayer.

Spiritual Warfare Insight:
The Bible tells us in John 10:10 that "the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy." The enemy seeks to destroy our young men before they can reach their full potential in Christ. This calls for spiritual leaders to engage in warfare, praying over our youth and speaking against the strongholds that bind them.

3. Domestic Violence: A Manifestation of a Broken Spiritual Covering:
The rise in domestic violence is another indicator of a spiritual breakdown in our homes and communities. The enemy is sowing seeds of division, strife, and abuse within families, leading to cycles of trauma and brokenness. Where there should be love, unity, and protection, there is pain, fear, and violence.

We must recognize that domestic violence is more than just a behavioral issue—it is a sign that spiritual strongholds of anger, bitterness, and control are at work. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us that "our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world." We must pray, fast, and use spiritual intervention to break these strongholds and heal our families.

Spiritual Warfare Insight:
In 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, we are told that "the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds." It is time to declare spiritual authority over our homes, praying for restoration and healing where there has been violence and abuse.

Conclusion: A Call to Spiritual Arms
What we face in the Bahamas is not just a series of unfortunate social trends but a spiritual battle. The enemy seeks to destroy our families, steal the potential of our young men, and bring violence and chaos into our homes. But as believers, we are not powerless. God has given us the tools for warfare—prayer, the Word of God, and the authority of the Holy Spirit.

This is a call to arms. It is time to rise up and declare war in the spirit of our nation. We must pray over our families, youth, and communities, asking God to heal the brokenness and restore what has been lost. We must call our people back to righteousness, holiness, and reverence for God.

Now is the time to stand firm, speak boldly, and trust the Lord’s power to transform. As we engage in this spiritual warfare, remember that "if God is for us, who can be against us" (Romans 8:31).

Warm Regards,
Troy E. Clarke I, ICAP Tx II
