Beyond the Hospital Walls: Service in Action 🩺🏗️
Today’s mission took us just a few steps from our wards to our assigned area within the Chhukha Hydropower Project Colony.
While our team is usually found in scrubs and stethoscopes, we take our "area of responsibility" seriously—even when it involves heavy lifting and manual labor. From breaking stones to clearing paths, the Chhukha Hospital staff traded their clinical tools for shovels and sledges to ensure this community space remains safe and well-maintained for our neighbors.
We believe that true healthcare goes beyond the exam room; it starts with a clean, safe, and cared-for environment. Proud of the sweat, the teamwork, and the spirit shown by everyone today! 🇧🇹💪


We are expected to complete this mini-work next Saturday.

After almost 3 weeks long re-painting of the exterior walls of the hospital, the painters have finally completed(at least from the viewer’s perspective) painting exactly on 17th January 2026.

Requested by the hospital administration for the support and approved and budgeted by the CHPC under DHPC, those painters have dedicated themselves to the best of their abilities to make the hospital more beautiful than before.

The painters left the workplace on 18th January 2026.

I have captured details of their work, basically Bhutanese architectural paintings, as I have noticed on 19th January 2026.

So the countdown time 🕰️ of durability starts here.

However it may be, the quality and impact cannot be assessed at the moment because there has to be external factors like environmental conditions that those paintings have to interplay with.

Durability is the biggest concern regarding the paintings(anywhere).

So, we are hoping that this new project assumed completion is no just a mere colour change but the reflection of how well we all evaluated and implemented sustainability.

The traffic division of the Royal Bhutan Police will be conducting strict routine checks on motorists tonight to ensure public safety.

Notification On Rheumatology Clinic.

This is to inform all that a Rheumatology Clinic will be set up in the OPD, JDWNRH and Dr Sonam Yangchen, MD, will run the clinic for patients with rheumatoid arthritis as well as other autoimmune diseases. She will work from 3.00pm till 7.00pm Monday to Friday, and from 1.00pm till 5.00pm on Saturday.

Since her contract is with the Kidu Office, her supervisor will be Dr Phub Dorj. However, JDWNRH will facilitate the functioning of the clinic as needed. Dr. Sonam Yangchen will have full access to ePIS and also to the drugs on the Essential Drugs List, including Form 2 drugs.
