When you say you're falling behind, whose timeline is it according to? What influenced that timeline? Was it family expectations, social media , society or comparison to your friends and peers?

Performing is when the authentic self is traded for a version of you that was formed and coined up by someone else. The result?
▪️ Constantly feeling anxious
▪️ Constantly feeling like you're not doing enough
▪️ Constantly feeling like you're never enough
▪️ Constantly feeling like you're chasing after a dream, a life or a reality that isn't attainable
▪️ Feeling drained and tired of life and finding little enjoyment or fulfilment in life

You're Not depressed‼️ you're just out of balance and out of tune with the real and authentic you .

You've been the strong one for so long you forgot that's not actually who you are.

It's a role. One nobody asked if you wanted. One that costs you more than anyone sees.

And the most exhausting part? You're not even doing it for them anymore. You're doing it because as long as everyone else needs you, you don't have to look at your own life falling apart.

That is pressure to perform. And it is one of the quietest, most invisible kinds.

And the worst part is ; nobody taught you that.
You were taught that love looks like sacrifice. That being a good person means being available. That your needs are negotiable but everyone else's aren't. So you said yes. Again and again. To things that cost you sleep, cost you peace, cost you your own plans and desires.

And you called it being a good friend. A good child. A good partner. A good employee.
But here's what I've seen in years of sitting with people in therapy; the ones who never say no are not the most loving people in the room. They're often the most depleted. The most resentful. The most disconnected from who they actually are.

Your yes only means something when it's a choice! not a survival mechanism.
We're unpacking this on 15 May in a live conversation that crosses borders — because this pressure doesn't belong to one country or one culture. It's everywhere.
