Are you part of the one in four? We want to hear from you.

A survey we ran in 2020 revealed 27% of eczema patients did not think they were taken seriously by healthcare professionals - a concerning statistic.

6 years later, we have launched a survey to look into this further. We want to better understand what impacts the confidence you have in your healthcare professionals, the treatment plan they prescribe and if social media impacts this in any way.

The survey will take 5 minutes and can be accessed here: https://bit.ly/4tr5FR0

Your experiences, good or bad, are incredibly important as they will be used to help inform how doctors and GPs approach your eczema appointments.

As we go into winter — passop ❄️

Erythema ab igne (Setswana: dipala) is a skin condition caused by repeated exposure to heat.

🔥 Common causes:
• Open fires
• Hot water bottles
• Direct contact with heaters

It often appears as a dark, net-like (patchy) discoloration on the skin and can become permanent if exposure continues.

⚠️ Prevention is key:
• Avoid placing heat sources directly on the skin
• Use a barrier (clothing/blanket)
• Limit duration of heat exposure

Stay warm, but protect your skin.
