I hear she's no more.

May the soul of Kenaleone Tsimakoko rest in peace.

This picture captures the day I first met her, and the last time I saw her. I was invited by her pastor, Otukile Ramogaladi, to preach at their church in Mogoditshane in 2024. I got the opportunity to pray for her then.

I remember her asking Moruti to ask me to get a picture with her, and there I was ready for the picture. Little did I know that this will be the only memory of her that I will remain with.

She was laid to rest this morning. May her husband, family and friends find true comfort and healing in the Lord Jesus whom she made her personal Savior.

I was touched, and I nearly cried.

When touring the City of Johannesburg, we came to a location known as Hillbrow, and there we saw this monument and it was stated through our headsets,

"On your left is the monument built to honour miners from all over Africa who came to work in the South African mines thus participating in building the City of Johannesburg"

At that point, I couldn't let the opportunity of capturing the monument pass me by. I stood up and got many pictures of the same monument. Why? Go ne ga ntlĂȘla nice and slow gore, my father worked in the South African mines, and therefore this means he's being remembered in South Africa.

It quickly dawned in my mind that when I walked at the Gaborone Main Mall recently, I came across a place where names of people are written on stones on the flours of Main Mall. I looked for my father's name there, and it wasn't there. I looked for a Tiego surname, and it wasn't there. Here in Johannesburg, when I looked at that monument, my heart told me that even though my father's name is not written there but it is implied in the whole statement.

My head started thinking about your fathers and uncles who worked in Impala mine, Kinross, Tip lĂȘbĂȘnĂȘ (Deep Level), and I said to myself, "South Africa is a grateful great nation!" I quickly remembered how some of our parents were called in recent years to get their claims for any illness suspected to have been caused by their labour as mine workers.

Something told me that since my father is still alive, most of these miners are still alive somewhere trying to make ends meet. An idea came to my mind, and this was an idea to make them smile...

"How about we each get this picture, print it and frame it, and present it to them as an appreciation for raising us with Rands from South African mines? How about we frame it and present it as a token of appreciation from the South African government for their participation in the building of the great South African Nation!

I am a proud son of a miner, and going to the University for our family was the greatest breakthrough ever. Working as a teacher, teaching kids in English was a miracle. Becoming a Pastor nearly made them die asking themselves what they had done to deserve these great blessings from God. When they heard that I was President of a Political party, they were finished! We are really working hard to become something in life amidst fierce opposition from a society that cares less about anyone, but that doesn't discourage us for we know with God we shall overcome someday!

We shall emerge from nothing to something. We are still work in progress. Our morning is coming!

Being a father, I was just riding behind them to protect them from animals such as lions and cheetahs, or even any form of mfecane attack from the Nguni speaking people.

My horse was relaxed, calm and busy grazing.

We celebrated the New Year's day, and had dijo tsa nnibijara kwa Mokokwana at my brother and Comrade Oarabile Motlaleng's home village.

We had the opportunity to meet with his family. Batho ba lapa lele ba rata Modimo tota. We sang, we prayed and smiled at each other through and through.

We ate some Tswapong delicacies, very delicious if you ask me!

Mokokwana is such a beautiful Village, serene and surrounded by beautiful hills with some beautiful gorges with springs of water that flows throughout the year. They have their own cute phadana, and I hear some people use it to cross to Moeng College where they have found employment.

The village has two parts. One part is called Mokokwana and the other, Mosweu. Though they have similar challenges as Tumasera and Seleka, theirs seem to be under control. The whole experience around the village was just amazing! You can now imagine the whole experience being hosted by the all rounded, interesting, funny, religious, visionary, political and fatherly figure, His Worship the Mayor of the City of Gaborone Hon Motlaleng, what a day it was!

Happy 2026 to you all. We pray for more success and good health for all of you.

The approach I took on the Zebras game with DRC today was deliberate.

It was to show the powers that be how their decisions or lack of decision making affect the ordinary Motswana. It was to say to Hon Jacob Kelebeng that we are tired of mediocrity. It was to say to the BFA Committee that if you can't deliver why not resign and let others who can do better take over. It was to say to the Premier League Committee that it's embarrassing to run a half cooked league.

We cannot continue like this! If this is about securing employment and not about the plight of our nation, then we have misplaced priorities, and that should end with 2025.

2026 I'm refusing to settle for less! I'm hurt, and I feel embarrassed and abused. Things cannot continue like this. Those Zebras coaches also need some attention. My first march in 2026 will be against mediocrity!

In the meantime, Happy new year to you all in advance. I'll be off social media for sometime, and thank you so much for following my page throughout 2025. Your support is highly appreciated. Until we reconnect again in 2026. Enjoy the festivities!
