On the 8th of August, healthcare professionals convened at Cresta Lodge Hotel for an impactful Continuous Medical Education (CME) session themed “Optimizing Patient Outcomes Through Total Parenteral Nutrition & IV Glutamine.”

The event opened with insightful remarks from Dr. Chalashika Boda, followed by Mrs. Thando Chitate of Fresenius Kabi, who provided an in-depth introduction to Oral Nutrition Supplements and the critical role of Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) and IV Glutamine in patient recovery and care.

A standout moment was the interactive Oral Nutrition Supplement tasting session, allowing attendees to experience firsthand the products designed to support nutritional health. The session concluded with Mr. John Nderitu (Dietitian) highlighting the benefits and challenges of neonatal TPN in Botswana, sparking meaningful discussions on improving outcomes for our youngest patients.
