HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT MET WITH HEALTHCARE AUXILIARIES

Mahalapye District Hospital Management this morning held a meeting with Healthcare Auxiliary staff as part of ongoing engagements with different staff cadres to address their concerns.
During this meeting, the Hospital Superintendent, Dr Kagiso Tshegetsang emphasized the importance of information sharing, stating that all information that is relevant to all members of staff is shared in all hospital platforms and encouraged heads of units to ensure that they disseminate information accordingly.
The Hospital Manager, Mr. Abednigo Mafhoko ensured them that corporate will meet with Chief Healthcare Auxiliary and map a way forward in addressing their grievances.
During the meeting, staff raised various grievances and emphasized the need for long-term training opportunities to support their skills development, highlighting its importance in improving their performance and the quality of patient care.

Mahalapye District Hospital has this week received a new consignment of medicines and medical supplies from Central Medical Stores. The delivery includes the following items:
-Povidone iodine solution
-Enemas
-Painkillers
IV fluids
-Anaesthetic medications
-Anticoagulants
-Foley’s catheters
-Crepe bandages
-Endotracheal tubes
-Latex examination gloves
-Colostomy bags and flanges (size 50)
-Sutures
-Erythropoietin
-Anti-D immunoglobulin
-Surgical gloves
-Thiazide diuretics

Ministry of Health continues to source essential medications for Batswana to improve the level of medicines availability in the country. Members of the public are therefore advised to seek medical attention whenever there is a change in their condition. Additionally, patients should visit their nearest health facility promptly when they are running low on medication to avoid potential health risks.
