INTRAUTERINE DEVICE-( IUD)
**Is a small device that is T-shaped placed in the uterus.
**A long-term protection method that usually takes around 5 to 10 years.
**The most commonly used IUDs are copper T and Mirena.
**Does not interfere with lactation and doesn't protect from STIs.
**A woman has to check the strings to confirm if the device is in place.
**Common side effects are cramping and heavy me**es.
