Vanessa is a competitor at heart! I am continually impressed with her ability to push herself to the next level. The commitment to her and her family's health is of top priority, and it shows!

When Vanessa fist came to me, she largely complained of consistent neck/upper back pain and a restricted range of motion. As a mother with many years practicing ballet, a history of trail running, and an avid outdoor enthusiast, it was only time before her muscles and joints took a toll. Tracey is a phenomenal client! She is an eager learner, passionate about her health, and dedicated to her exercise regimen!

Tracey sought out Kinesiology to help deal with the chronic shoulder pain she was experiencing from an overuse injury. Symptoms included chronic pain, limited range of motion, and muscle tightness. In the past she had tried physio, chiro, massage, and other therapies however, didn't feel they help her symptoms in the long-term. After 3 weeks of kinesiology work, she began to feel better with improved range of motion. After 2 months, she reported feeling less pain on a daily basis. After 4 months, she reported feeling proud of the strength she's gained and is still an active client of mine to date. Tracey found OJ's Health & Wellness to be "very accommodating and flexible with the scheduling".

Her advice to in regards to Kinesiology treatment; "be patient, do your part (stretch & exercise).

Kyphosis is a type of deformity in which you'll notice a visible alteration to the forward curvature of the thoracic spine(upper back). Postural kyphosis is common and occurs from consistently poor posture. You can see it more commonly in high sedentary populations and is also referred to as "hunchback".

Lordosis is a type of deformity in which you'll notice a visible alteration to the backward curvature of the lumbar spine(lower back). Postural lordosis is commonly seen in obese, overweight, and pregnant populations, it can be attributed to weak core muscles and excessive weight held in the abdominal region.

Both of these conditions can cause "pain in the back" but it is important to know that these postural conditions can be corrected through rehabilitation and corrective exercise.
