I love yoga nidra. As someone who was hardwired with some anxiety ⚡️ it does the body good to remind it that rest is both good and important.

Yoga Nidra is a practice of meditation.

The goal is not to sleep, but to deeply rest the body and reconnect with the breath. Often a body scan is included, where you take your attention throughout the whole of the body.

Quick Seated Yoga for Office Workers 🧑‍💻

You don’t even have to leave your chair! 🪑

Take just five minutes to reap the benefits of connecting breath and movement. 😮‍💨 🙆

Simple, seated yoga poses in an easy to follow video. 📼

This easy to follow little desk stretch will check all your boxes ✅

In Just 5 Minutes we will:

😮‍💨 slow and deepen the breath

📻 tune in to the body

🔗 link breath and movement as we stretch

🙆‍♂️ stretch the neck, arms and shoulders

🦵 stretch the legs and hips

👐 open & close our typing hands a little bit

BREATHE WITH LOVE | THROUGH A PANIC ATTACK…

This was the toughest meditation for me to create, so far. It’s likely because it means the most to me!

My aim with this 5 minute guided meditation, is to share tools that helped me through my own panic attacks.
🧰
It doesn’t require sitting still, in fact movement & walking / pacing are encouraged!
🚶🏽‍♀️
This 5 minute guided meditation walks through a few tools I found helpful when dealing with panic attacks… tools like:

take a few deeper breaths
tune into the body
moving as much or as little as we want
ground into the present moment
zoom out a little, this too shall pass
pace or walk
notice our surroundings & colours
take note of sounds & smells
and… a super advanced technique to end. 😉

Choose Your Own Adventure Guided Relaxation

Choose from a:

🌳 Cool and dewy meadow
🏖️ Warm and sunny beach
Or a
🏡 Rainy night time cabin

Please settle in for the guided relaxation. Allow the whole body to be at ease. Listening and resting as you are guided through a deep relaxation.

This will be followed by a mental walk through a dreamy landscape of your choosing.

The meditation will taper off, leaving only the background music and white noise.

This guided meditation was designed to deeply relax the body and mind. Allowing you to drift off to a sweet and dreamy sleep.

First off, the love note. 💌
Thank YOU so much for being here.
For watching this little with love project evolve. 💞
For being present for all the meditations, yoga poses and yoga flows.

I so appreciate you.

Now for the update…

You will notice a reduced schedule for the guided meditations & free yoga going forwards. I want to focus on quality over quantity. (Instead of a weekly schedule, I’ll be working a monthly schedule.)

Expect longer sleep meditations, mini yoga classes on demand, and new things!

New things like… gluten and dairy free recipes. 📖

New things like… free printable worksheets that I use in my day to day life to keep organized! 📑

So while I am doing the opposite of “niching down”… I will be leaning into the stuff that lights me up. ✨

[All this to say… if you’re not into the new direction, no hard feelings.]

This is just your heads up, that my little corner of the internet is going to be shifting once again! 🪄

So to summarize:

Take a moment for yourself. 🧘🏻‍♀️
(Be it in your bathroom, bedroom, car etc.)
Removed from company, and here for a moment to breathe… settle into a seat, or simply pace your space, if your battery feels a little over-charged. 🚶
Start by naming the emotion & any layers of feeling underneath. 🏷️
Admit and accept from yourself, that this emotion is present.
Remembering that emotions are fluid and ever changing. They’re also often quite layered!
Define the trigger or boundary crossed. 🚧

Was it:

This person’s actions
this circumstance
this personal boundary
Take a moment to lay it all out for yourself.
As if you’ve just called your best friend, and you have one minute to explain it to them. 📞
Be detailed. Unearth any surrounding emotions or concerns.

I will rejoin you in a couple breaths time, to allow you a moment of reflection.
Back together now, exhale all the air from your lungs.
Empty as you can get them.
Inhale fully and deeply through the nose.

Exhale out the mouth as if you were fogging up a mirror.
🪞
Focus on the feeling of constriction in the throat and exhale as loudly as you can.

If you can, try this super advanced Yogi trick – and stick out the tongue on the exhale.

It’s called Lion’s Breath. 🦁 A simple breathing technique wherein the exhale is done with an open mouth, tongue extended, and making a “ha” sound (with that feeling of fogging up a mirror in the back of the throat).

This breathing trick is said to calm stress and anger, relax the mind and also seems to have an effect that makes one smile.

Something a little funny about sticking out our tongue like this, but the effect is strangely stress relieving.

Try this 3 times, consciously slowing and deepening the breath.

Shake out the hands, give the wrists a little twist. Shrug the shoulders up to the ears. Let it go. Melt the shoulder blades down and in to the spine. Take a breath in as you look up and a breath out as you tuck chin to chest.

Move on and remember that emotions are not permanent. They also move (putting the motion in emotion since day one 😉), they change and they flow.
