Mind + Body = Powerhouse 🌿✨

At our Edmonton Staff Retreat in the Fantasyland Hotel, I had the privilege of presenting as the owner of Resilient and Redefined Wellness. 🎤 I spoke on the power of the mind-body connection. How deeply tied they are, and how caring for both allows us to thrive not only in our personal lives, but in the important work we do every day.

I know my mom would be so proud of me, and I truly felt she was right there with me in those moments. 💛I had everyone’s attention, and even got our Health Director up and moving! 🙌

Grateful for this experience, the engagement, and the reminder of how strong we are when we care for our whole selves. 🌿

A week of firsts 💛

This week was a pivotal one for me — and I’m feeling so grateful.

I facilitated my first two-day staff training (with amazing guest speakers!), led my first Public Health meeting, and completed an interview that pushed me out of my comfort zone in the best way.

It was a lot — but it reminded me how much I’ve grown, and how much I love the work I get to do.

And just when I start to feel like I’m failing at my wellness business — because I haven’t had the time or energy — I remind myself that I’m still showing up. I’m still helping my community every day through my full-time nursing supervisor role. That work matters deeply.

I’m in a quiet season right now, and that’s okay. Everything has its time. For now, I’m trusting the process and holding gratitude for all the ways I get to show up and make a difference — even if it looks different than I imagined.

Here’s to more firsts, more growth, and more reminders that I’m exactly where I’m meant to be. 💫

The one that says “You’re not strong enough” or “Why even try?”
Let this be your reminder: every time you show up for yourself, you’re proving that voice wrong.

It’s not about perfection. It’s about commitment to yourself.

Some days, showing up looks like crushing a workout.
Other days, it’s simply lacing up your shoes or choosing rest without guilt.

Every time you choose you, self-doubt loses its grip.
Confidence is built in the showing up.

Don’t be scared to build upper body muscle, girlie.

It doesn’t make you “too manly” or any less feminine — in fact, it makes you a baddie with balance. The kind of strong that can carry all the groceries in one trip and your baby on the other hip without breaking a sweat.

Muscles don’t take away from your softness — they enhance your strength, your power, and your presence. Strength looks good on us.

So here’s your reminder: lifting doesn’t make you bulky, it makes you capable, confident, and unstoppable.

I challenge you to lifting just a little bit heavier every couple of weeks. Push yourself until you have around 1-2 reps left in ya.

Strong girls grow into powerful women! 🌟

Couple weekends ago, I had the amazing opportunity to lead the off-ice warm-up for the girlies at a two-day figure skating workshop! Big thanks to the La Ronge Figure Skating Club for having me—it was such a blast. I loved their energy, curiosity, and all the great questions about fitness. Thank you for the lovely gift. It keeps me nice and warm. (It’s a sweater, hehe).

Fun Fact: Girls who learn to work out properly at a young age build confidence, body awareness, and lifelong strength—not just in sport, but in life too. Empowered girls become powerful women! 💖

Rebuilding My Strength: From 7lb Dumbbells to Bench Pressing properly.

At 8 weeks postpartum, after having a cesarean, I re-started my fitness journey at home with just a pair of 7lb weights. I had to work my way back up, rebuilding my strength one workout at a time. It wasn’t easy, but I knew I had to start somewhere. Oh boy do C-sections take a toll on you 😮‍💨

Fast forward to today, I’m in the gym learning how to bench press properly! I started with just the bar, focusing on form, breathing, and control. Now, I’ll gradually increase the weight and proving to myself that I am stronger than I ever thought—mentally and physically.

This journey has been about more than just lifting heavier. It’s about resilience, patience, and showing up for myself, even when it felt tough. To all the mamas and anyone starting over—progress takes time, but every step forward is a win. Keep going! 🩷

Week 4 of the Fit, Well and Resilient January challenge theme is celebrating the wins! 💪🏼

This week the ladies will focus on their wins and challenges they experience through this month. This amazing group of women have taught me so much as a coach and have inspired me to push myself physically and mentally every. single. day. 💖 they even inspired each other to move and eat healthier 😜

As we approach near the end of the challenge I just wanted to thank everyone who have been a big support of my business. I’ll continue to grow and expand my ideas and feedback. This challenge has been a big success that I’ll defintely do this again before summer! Maybe a pre-summer kickoff challenge! ☀️😎
