Friday at Mayfest did not disappoint. 🤟

Mayfest is an annual celebration of Deaf culture and community in Toronto, filled with performances, vendors, and connections that bring people together through language and shared experience.

Reconnected with familiar faces, surrounded by the rhythm of shared language and culture.

From my first ASL class at 14 to working as an interpreter and now offering therapy in both ASL and English, it’s always been about access, connection, and community.

I love this community... its energy, connection, and deep sense of pride.

Let’s be real... the start of the year can feel a bit heavy. Between the leftover stress from last year and the pressure to hit the ground running, it’s no wonder emotions feel a little all over the place. And sometimes, without meaning to, we let that spill over onto the people we care about most.
