Hold on! Let me stop to stretch these hip flexors 🙌

FYI stretches don’t hold. Your body doesn’t like being in one position for too long. So stretching regularly means stretching hourly. Stretch every hour spending 5-30 seconds or more.

Did you know healthy sugar that doesn’t cause spike in blood sugar is good to consume in the morning?

Hence why Ayurvedic medicine has been advocating for steamed apples with warm oatmeal!

HEALTHY VS BLOOD SUGAR BALANCING🤍

At the beginning of my 12 week program,
I normally hear "I eat healthy". And this might be true, because I see lots of whole fruits,
Vegetables and yummy meals in their week.

But those same people often struggle with symptoms like:

1️⃣Crashes in energy levels

2️⃣Nausea and dizziness throughout the day

3️⃣Frequent headaches and migraines

4️⃣Digestive issues like bloating, acid reflux, and constipation

5️⃣Symptoms of anxiety and mood fluctuations.

6️⃣Diagnosed hormonal imbalances
These are indications that your foods and meals might be healthy,
But they're not healthy for YOUR body.

And one of the biggest factors that we tend to neglect is
blood sugar balance.

This means learning to ADD nutrients to our meals that
Are going to help provide us with stable energy,

Feeling satiated after and between meals,

And avoiding ups and downs in mood caused by
Spikes and crashes in blood sugar.

It is all about knowing when to eat certain foods.
If you want to learn more about how your blood sugar works,
What foods influence it,leave a comment or send a message

Could it be that your sweet tooth Is Just a Yeast Infection?

Appetizing to think about, I know. Candida infection can cause intense sugar cravings. You might know sugar is not good for you and find yourself drawn to sugar anyways as requested by your systemic yeast overgrowth.

It’s definitely catch 22 with the candida infection as eating sugar essentially feeds the intestinal yeast and having too much yeast in your gut makes you crave more sugar.

We all have some amount of candida in our digestive tract, but the overgrowth caused by factors such as low immunity, chronic stress and poor digestion can cause a havoc in the candida levels.

Many things we eat turn into sugar when broken down, so candida diet is tough to follow and it doesn’t solve the root reason it’s there in the first place which is poor digestion of chronic low grade inflammation of the gut.

Some of the candida issues include digestive discomfort(gas, bloating, constipation, diarrhea), fatigue, headache, muscle and joint pain, blocked sinuses, sugar cravings, depression, brain fog, poor concentration, sleep problems, eczema and food sensitivities. Essentially symptoms of an unhealthy gut. The chronic inflammation can lead to more chronic diagnoses like leaky gut syndrome.

To fill out the Candida assessment send me a DM or comment below if you have experience with yeast overgrowth and it’s symptoms. 🙆🏻‍♀️

🙅🏽‍♀️ NO to sugar might not be the only or the easiest strategy necessary to normalize your intestinal yeast levels.

Celery juice is great for you, but so are many other foods.
It is also one of the foods that are worth buying organic because of it’s pesticide content as it is one of the produce that is on the dirty dozen list ( I call it the dozen produce that is worth buying organic).⁣

Keto. Celery juice. Alkaline. SUPERFOODS. Whole30. Fasting. 🤯 ...there are so many trends that so many people *swear* by. ⁣

The truth is is that there is no one way of eating that is perfect for everyone, and if anyone tells you that, RUN fast 💨 ⁣

What diet you should be on depends on your symptoms, diagnoses and goals. Once you have identified your sensitivities and normalized your inflammatory factors.

The best maintenance diet is the LIFESTYLE diet where you have healed your relationship with food

Where you actually enjoy eating traditionally *healthy* foods like veggies, grains, and green juice 🥤 ⁣
⁣..while guiltlessly savoring fun foods like cookies, cake, and french fries with the 80/20 rule🍟⁣
⁣⁣

I get why the FAD and trendy diets appeal to so many, but the journey isn’t an overnight one but it’s the best thing you can invest in if you want to live genuinely healthy & happy.

🛑 STOP telling people they don’t need supplements and they can get everything they need from eating properly.

This commonly stated knowledge is not a fact and can be dangerous.
🙏If you are a relatively healthy young person eating a proper diet that statement might bear some truth.

But you ABSOLUTELY cannot speak for those who have diagnoses and symptoms that they are trying to alleviate. 🤦‍♂️

Therapeutic doses of supplementation (which tend to be high doses over suggested amounts to regular public and require monitoring) can be life changing in cases of:

📌Multiple sclerosis,
📌Parkinson’s,
📌early Alzheimer’s,
📌early menopause,
📌fertility issues

Just to name a few.

😱So it’s dangerous to walk around with a limited knowledge, but a strong opinion.

✅It frustrates health care professionals, but more importantly it frustrates patients with significant symptoms and are on high therapeutic doses of supplementation and are being closely monitored.

Especially, if the patient has been recently put on a protocol and hasn’t seen symptom relief yet and hears about how it’s all bogus, not only do they feel confused, they also feel prematurely hopeless.

✅In an ideal world, it is true supplements are not necessary. But the truth is body doesn’t always work ideally and lifestyles are not always allowing things to function in an ideal fashion. I won’t even get into the far from ideal ways by which our food is grown. In addition to that with aging, every decade after 30, a different system in our body need a little push. Even in a healthy individual by 40s sleep gets effected (there is significant decrease in melatonin levels), 50s cognition and heart health starts needing a bit of support.

✅Having said that do I feel supplements are over prescribed? Absolutely. Just like any health field find a practitioner you trust, do your research and use supplements as a supplemental help and not as a meal replacement and recognize that therapeutic doses should be considered when dealing with significant symptoms and diagnoses.

Leave a comment 👇 if you have a supplement that has been absolutely life changing for you.
