Flu and COVID immunization clinic for St. Peter’s:

Saturday Nov 15 11:00am-12:00pm at the green space (corner of Pepperell St. & Grenville St.)

This is for flu shots (regular dose or high dose for age 65+) and COVID shots (newest booster for LP.8.1 variant, 2025-2026 season). Both are available for anyone ages 6 months and older.

These clinics are open to everyone. You do not need to be a patient of our clinic to access these vaccination clinics.

You may pre-register by calling 902-226-1674 during normal clinic hours (preferred) or have your healthcard with you when you arrive (if you’re not one of our patients we will need name, healthcard #, birthdate, and phone #).

Now that we finally have enough of a supply, we will be offerring "drive-thru" vaccination clinics on the following dates:

Arichat Medical Clinic, 2372 NS-206, Arichat, Sunday Nov 9 1:00-2:00pm + Wednesday Nov 12 6:00pm-7:00pm.

St. Peter’s - Saturday Nov 15 11:00am-12:00pm at the green space (corner of Pepperell St. & Grenville St.) -

While our Dr MacNeils are away this week please note we will have coverage for patients of the clinic with a locum physician, Dr. Ken Deichert. Dr. Deichert is an experienced locum physician who will be available primarily for acute and unforeseen concerns Monday and Wednesday-Friday this week. Please be as welcoming and patient as you normally are as he provides much needed coverage during this gap in care.

It is with mixed emotions that we announce that Dr. Akinboro will be closing his practice at the Arichat Medical Clinic on September 12, 2025. We wish him the very best in his future medical career. He will be deeply missed! Unfortunately at this time we do not have another physician coming to the clinic. If you are a patient of Dr. Akinboro, you will need to register with 811 on the Need a Family Practice Registry List.

St. Peter’s - Corner of Pepperell St. & Grenville St. - Sunday Oct 27 at 10:00am-11:00am.

There will be additional dates in the near future.

St. Peter’s “drive-thru” immunization clinic will be this Sunday, November 26, from 2:00-3:00pm. Same location on the corner of Pepperell st. & Grenville st., at the old Irving site. We will have COVID immunizations (fall/winter booster, Pfizer XBB 1.5 for ages 5+), as well as influenza (regular and high dose). No registration required. All you’ll need is your healthcare number. Open to all.

We will also be offering a vaccination clinic on Monday November 27 evening from 6:00-9:00pm at the Arichat Medical Clinic. Please call the clinic at 902-226-1674 when you arrive and we will be glad to meet you out at your car or you may come in as always.

For kids age 6 months - 4 years, we have a very limited supply. Please call the clinic at 902-226-1674 to reserve a shot on Monday, November 27.

While influenza is not in our communities yet, COVID is continuing to spike and affecting our vulnerable populations. Please continue to wash your hands, wear a mask or stay home if you’re feeling sick, and get immunized (even if you are young/healthy) as these are the best ways to limit its spread.

More info on COVID vaccination for ages 6 months - 11 years old: the vials we received have a limited shelf life once opened so we are going to try to coordinate immunizations on the same day. This is especially so for age 6 months - 4 years old as we have only a single vial of 10 doses.

To organize this, we have chosen Monday, November 27 since we can offer vaccinations anytime from 9am-9pm. Please call the clinic at 902-226-1674 to let us know when you’d like to take your little one(s) in and help us maximize the immunizations we are able to provide while minimizing waste. Again, you do not have to be patients of our clinic for this service. Thank you!

We have received a limited supply of Pzifer COVID infant and pediatric doses. We are now able to restart COVID vaccinations for ages 6 months to 11 years. Please call the clinic at 902-226-1674 to arrange your child's immunization.

We have also been restocked with High Dose Influenza vaccinations for the 65+ who haven't received theirs yet.

We are looking to restart drive-thru vaccination clinics soon however the weather this weekend is not looking agreeable. So we will likely schedule evening and weekend times starting early next week. Exact times and locations will be posted soon.

COVID shots are in - we have a fridge full of Pfizer XBB 1.5 Fall/Winter 2023 doses however only the formulation for ages 12 and up. For ages 6 months to 11 years, we hope to have those in in about 2 weeks. With so many cases around the community, we will be setting up COVID immunization clinics asap. If you would like your COVID immunization tomorrow between 11:00am-12:00pm, please come by and we will make it happen.

This clinic is open to everyone aged 6 months or older.

We will have both the regular dose and the high dose for ages 65+ available. Some may choose the regular dose despite being 65+ - just let us know your preference.

We will have clipboards to record your name, healthcard #, birthdate, and phone #. If this is your first flu shot, it is best to wait in the area for 15 minutes but if you’ve had it before, you do not need to wait afterward.

Based on demand, we may schedule additional influenza vaccination clinics. Also, our shipment of Pfizer COVID XBB 1.5 immunizations should be in shortly and we will arrange similar clinics for those in the near future.
