🏃‍♂️Bootcamp- Charity 5km Walk 🏃‍♂️

So proud of this crew 💪❤️ My Bootcamp came together to raise $3,000 for the Barrie Food Bank.

Then laced up for a 5K walk to show our support. Along the way, we kept it fun with some in the park pull-ups.
(Santa was spotted getting swole🎅🏻💪🏻)

🏃🏼‍♀️ Training for a marathon: 10% running, 90% negotiating with yourself not to quit. 😅

•in 2023 I ran a 1/2 marathon and casually trained for it.
Love that distance the most, more challenging that a fast 10km run but significantly less challenging than a full marathon.

Race time completed for my 1/2 marathon: 1hr 50 min

•2025 I was having trouble getting my cardio in, always creating excuses. Like past behaviour, if I sign up for something, I will push myself to get it done. So that’s how this full marathon thing happened.
-With some guidance but mostly self taught, I learned to run this 42.2km distance. Having only practiced up to 32km my only goal as of race day was to see if I could actually complete it.
-Learning how to reserve energy on that last 10km was a challenge, physically and mentally, but we got it done!

Race time completed for my full marathon: 4hr 41 min.

Mock Powerlifting Meet for Lift for Kids Event!

What a great turn out and incredible time lifting for a great cause. Today I challenged myself and super proud of the outcome.

▪️SQUAT 260lbs
▪️BENCH 140lbs
▪️DEADLIFT 315lbs

Using the Wilkes calculator my overall score was 366.93 (715lbs total) lifter

🏆Barrie Natural Championships CPA show🏆

Well, I’m finally posting pics from my competition, lol. It’s only taken me a month of procrastination 🤦🏼‍♀️

I truly need to thank my amazing coaches, Jess and Rob for being there by my side the whole way through this gruelling prep, not the easiest prep but was SO WORTH the outcome. 🤗❤️

I placed 1st in masters 35+ and won the overall and placed 2nd in my height class. 🥇🏆
So honoured to have shared the stage with some fantastic competitors. 🥰

I also need to thank Roxi for being a stellar posing coach, she is truly passionate about this sport! 💃🏼

Lastly, it all came together with my beautiful purple bikini, custom designed by 👙
This suit fit so well and helped show case my physique on stage. 😊

I’ve been off and on working on this goal for a while. I’m finally committed to it. I’ve been using handstand program and it’s working.

So at the beginning of the summer I really wanted to try doing a headstand on a paddle board. This was captured mid headstand but I did achieve full legs up.🤸🏼‍♀️

Such a great long weekend with so many laughs, sunny days, good eats and great friends! 😊

✨ You know you’re hooked when taking a rest day takes more discipline than working out✨

I’m so excited to be in prep for my second photoshoot ever. I crave the discipline prep brings but always forget how tough it gets near the end.
3 weeks out and still able to crush my workouts.

Since I took a proper rest and recovery followed with stretches and foam rolling yesterday, I was able to crush 2 PR’s today. So for rest days!

Today’s wins:
Barbell hip thrust- 200lbs 1 set at 10reps
Inverted leg press- 438 lbs 1 set at 6 reps 🙌🏻😛

Beyond grateful for my coaches to help me crush another goal!

Life has been hard this past year, “a beach” to say the least!

Let’s all get excited for this tropical paradise scent and as we sweat a part virtually, we can all laugh a little knowing our sweat smells like summer, LOL 😂

Before & After 🤯

One year ago, I decided to join this incredible team; Team JAX!!!
Nervous of the unknown but I knew I wanted to look like their athletes.

The picture on the left is from one year ago. I put all my trust in Rob and Jess and followed their plan perfectly. I did most of this build during the last lockdown with nothing more than two 25 lbs dumbbells....anything is possible if you stick to a plan and be CONSISTENT!

The picture on the right is 8 months later and just before my first CPA show.
I’m beyond proud of my progress in only a short time. 🙌🏻
Right now I’m having the best off season even though it’s another lock down. Im doing the best to control what I can rather than complain about what I can’t.

Hopefully this post motivates you to find something that works for you. Find a plan suited for you, follow it, stay consistent; even when times get tough and the results WILL show.
