Community Living York South is a not-for-profit organization that provides support services to children, youth, adults and seniors who have an intellectual disability who live in Southern York Region and their families. We support people in directing their own lives and in promoting partnerships, opportunities, well-being, freedom and contributions in their community.

Join Our Board

Community Living York South is seeking passionate individuals to join our volunteer Board of Directors.

For over 70 years, we’ve supported people with intellectual disabilities and built inclusive communities across Vaughan, Richmond Hill, and Markham.

If you’re interested in meaningful governance work, or know someone who would be a strong fit we’d love to connect. This year, in addition to our general recruitment, we would welcome applications from individuals who have accounting/finance, human resources, legal, or government relations experience.

Community Living York South, in partnership with the ME & Lau Family Foundation, is proud to once again host a Personal Income Tax Filing Clinic for people with developmental disabilities and their parents.

The SIL Richmond Hill team recently enjoyed a wonderful outing to the Royal Botanical Gardens to experience the beautiful “Bloomland in Oz” exhibit 🌸

It was a meaningful opportunity for the people we support to connect with nature through the plant kingdom while stepping into the magical world of The Wizard of Oz, a story we all know and love.

As we followed the yellow brick road together, we were reminded that friendship brings strength and courage, and that no matter what challenges we may face, the power to find our way home is always within our hearts 💛

Moments like these highlight the joy of community, connection, and shared experiences.
