On Friday, December 19, Veteran Ambassador Don Gebhardt was honoured at the Ottawa 67's game. As an alumnus of the team, Don received special recognition for his time as a player in the 1980s and for his service as a Veteran. He was presented with a jersey bearing his original number from those years. We are grateful to the Ottawa 67's for this meaningful tribute.

As we close out another year, we reflect on the strength of our community and the shared journey we continue with our patients. From coast to coast, in Bedford, Edmonton, Fredericton, Kingston, Ottawa, and St. John's, we are honoured to support Veterans and RCMP members on their healthcare journey.
In 2026, we will continue to advocate for all Canadian Veterans so that they receive the treatments and services they rightfully deserve and have earned. We wish you all a happy new year filled with peace and progress.

As we continue reflecting on the milestones we are most proud of from 2025, we now highlight the Grand Opening of Echelon Wellness Ottawa, our clinic in the nation's capital. Held on November 6, the event saw a huge turnout of interested patients, along with inspiring remarks from distinguished dignitaries. It marked the beginning of the strong Echelon community in Ottawa that has grown so rapidly since that day. Last week, Echelon Wellness Fredericton had the privilege of hosting representatives from Respect Canada (RespectCanada.org), Helmets to Hardhats Canada, Heroes Mending on the Fly Canada N.B. Chapter and The Fredericton Homeless Shelters for an important forum focused on Veteran homelessness and broader mental and physical health challenges faced by those who have served. The discussion highlighted the ongoing needs within our Veteran community and explored ways we can step up to provide meaningful support. If your organization works in Veteran advocacy, employment transition, housing, or health services, we would welcome the opportunity to connect and discuss potential collaborations with our clinics across the region.

Last month Echelon was proud to support Glimmer Gala in support of Homes For Heroes Foundation by being a table sponsor. The event raised $100,000 for the Kingston Village, which features 20 tiny homes, a resource center, case manager offices, therapy rooms, community gardens, and outdoor recreation spaces. Clinic Manager Patti and Veteran Ambassador Don were honoured to attend and represent on behalf of our entire organization. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped raise money for such a great cause.
