Sustainability and fashion go hand in hand! With a large increase over the past few years for fast fashion trends that end of being garments only worn or used a handful of times before they are washed out with cheaper materials or simply made to be consumable it creates a more overall waste.
A lot of large brands have started taking pledges to become more ecologically friendly this past year which is an excellent sign to see! Paired with the rising trends of mushroom and mango leather for example; it will be interesting to see how more traditionally niche retailers such as Danier Leather, respond and try to compete with the consumers who want to feel more conscious and impactful with their purchasing decisions.
