SHINE YOUR JOY - The Moon is in Virgo trining her heart out…trining all the planets in Capricorn. Trines are the nature of Jupiter and generally occur without human intervention bringing harmonious feels all around. With all the personal planets in trine with the Virgo Moon it is a good day to put a smile on your face. Shine from the inside out.

The Capricorn cazimi team has a special conjunction on offer today…Venus and Mars coming together, holding hands, marking a renewed pack, a new start between them. Venus is our desire. We desire what is resonant. Mars is the strategy. We strategize the how of getting what is resonant. Together, they increase desire to strategize. We want what we want, right? 😉

WANT WHAT YOU WANT - The Moon is in Leo for a couple of days and we lean into our ability to shine. Leo is ruled by the Sun. With the Sun in Capricorn we could be displaying our ability to be responsible, disciplined, and ambitious. Working it! Capricorn is busy this season with most of the personal planets there. So, as I have said before, our Capricorn houses are “extra” now and if you have natal placements there, you may be more dedicated than ever.

The Moon crosses over into practical Virgo on Wednesday and into relationship driven Libra on Friday.

The Sun, Venus, and Mars will conjoin this week from January 6 through 9. A reset in our Capricorn house. Huddled together in the middle of Capricorn, they focus, energize, and add their energy to each other. The Sun’s ability to burn off what is no longer needed and to bring clarity will be pronounced over this week. Everyone coming back to work after a holiday break. Getting down to business.

Sooooo, with this trifecta applying its focus here…Venus asks what do you want? Mars asks how are you going to get it? And the Sun asks does your soul support the longing? Jupiter will pull focus later in the week as they oppose this gathering. It cannot be all about the getting, right? How does it feel? Does it feel expansive? Jupiter asks where is the balance between the practical and the emotional?

The cards ask for alignment and devotion. Where do you feel that in your life at this time? How might you open up to your own unique light? The Lovers, at its core, is about making choices; sometimes about relationships, about harmony. The Eight of Pentacles sets the focus on dedication, the honing of a skill or craft. THE WAY - The Moon remains in Cancer until mid-afternoon when she leaves her home for the bonfire of Leo. Beginning your day slowly with self care in mind is recommended. Out and about is an afternoon adventure.

There is a stellium (3 or more planets) in Capricorn right now…the Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Mars. Capricorn ruled by Saturn in Pisces. Saturn at the end of their long journey. When we are near the end of a journey, a project, a time, a trip…any beginning with an end…we can feel spent. Like, when is this gonna be over. Isn’t it funny how we humans look forward to a thing and near the end we want to skip the last few miles.

Concentrated energy, especially of our personal planets, in any sign leads to the work of that sign being a little more focused, extra. Capricorn is the slow steady climb…no shortcuts. Here in the Northern Hemisphere we root in and down into winter. Imagine that your being is the root of a tree, rooting down for the season, conserving and concentrating energy in the root. We will need it come spring.

The Four of Swords asks for rest. Ease. Stillness. Contemplation. In the card’s scene, the swords rest on a bench. The swords represent our mind’s activity. How can you rest your mind? How can you sync your mind with the rooting down of your being? It is time to rest the mind.

The Cancer Moon sits in opposition to the Capricorn Sun, at 13 degrees, and in the second decan. The Moon rules this lunation from her domicile. Jupiter Rx is close by. Across the way in Capricorn, Saturn’s home base, sits not only the Sun but Mercury, Venus and Mars. Locked and loaded. What are we doing with this one precious life? Is it legacy we are after? Are we building a place within to support us?

The Moon, The Chariot, and the Three of Cups - Where does the path lead? What drives us? Who is our ride or die? This trio brings faith in our intuition, faith in our motives, and faith in the connections who bring us joy. There is an inner sanctuary that holds this faith. Find it. Feel it.

The Sun, The Devil, and the Three of Pentacles - Where does the shade land? What holds us back? Who can we ask for guidance? This trio points to support…support for the journey, support for strength, and support for help along the way. There is an outer experience that holds the support you need, whenever you need it. CONTAINER - The Gemini Moon gives way to the Cancer Moon this morning. The Moon will be home, fully resourced. Imagine you have been away from home, for an hour, a day, a week, an eternity. You arrive and cross the threshold of your own space. This feeling of arrival, this feeling of our own space comes into view today. The Cancer Moon will travel along her home pathway and oppose the Capricorn Sun Saturday morning, early. Where is home for you?

Mercury entered Capricorn yesterday and the communication vibe shifts from storytelling to accounting…Mercury in Capricorn needs the checks and balances. In January, here we are, looking back and looking ahead. Checks. Balances.

Chiron, the wounded healer, stations direct in Aries this morning. Another shift from the inner landscape to outward sight. We may have been in some pain about something in our lives this past little bit…not every day but perhaps a trigger or a stinger every now and then. We did some inner exploration. We are ready to be more open about what hurts.

The cards at once are direct and soothing. The Queen of Swords tells the truth, always. Not the sugar coated speech but the direct, it is what it is, stuff. STEADY NOW - The Moon entered Ta**us this morning and Venus rules this Moon-Day. Venus, the Sun, and Mars are in Capricorn ♑️ so they will all trine the Ta**us Moon. A lovely grounded energy for ending the year.

It’s a good time to assess your resources…your body, your home, your pantry…all the things you can see and touch and feel. We are spirits having an earthly experience. However that experience is for you, earth magic plays a part. Tap into the goodness of this over the next couple of days.

The Ta**us Moon will also square Pluto in Aquarius so you feel into the ways of resources and resourcing. The Virgo South Node is touched in a trine by Mars in Capricorn. And also a sextile to the Pisces North Node. There is energy here for follow through and results. If you don’t have the resources you need perhaps the next couple of days would be ideal to figure that out.

The cards offer a seed … the Ace of Pentacles. This card brings an opportunity in the material realm. As you tend to this opportunity good things can grow. This is tangible. With the Moon in Ta**us our bodies are aware. Enlist all of your senses. Be one with what is.

The Two of Pentacles follows the Ace naturally and is given today as the next logical step. The Ace is the seed planting the opportunity and the Two is the sprouting growth in action. This card can be busy but it indicates a prioritization of actions, of busy. Ground. Remain flexible to pivots…life can life after all.

TURNING THE CORNER - The Aries Moon is in the Sun’s decan in Aries. She will leave there today and move into the last decan of Aries where Venus rules…here, Chiron is now. Later today the Moon will conjoin Chiron Rx after their square with Jupiter Rx in Cancer…and later on a trine with Mercury in Sagittarius who only yesterday had a trine with Chiron. To me, a day after the first quarter square, we turn a corner but can feel a little clunky.

The cards indicate we are working on something with the Three of Pentacles coming through. We may need some advice from others. The Three of Pentacles comes from the Capricorn decans…love the synastry. Some of us are natural team players, others more solo. This card is for the team, for collaboration. It reminds us of the magic thst can be achieved when we work together.

Temperance speaks to balance, to moderation. But it also speaks to the blending of dualities. It is never just one thing. Often, it is refining, or honing, a fine recipe. Temperance reminds us that there are powerful forces around us…giving us alchemy in our experience. Our lives demand so many things of us. Taking the time to put some of this and some of that together means we have to pause to discover what it is that we need.

What a wonderful time of year to pause. To reflect. To give ourselves gentleness as we turn the corner of the Gregorian year. Our reflections come to light as we move closer to full moon on Saturday. ✨

HOUSE IN ORDER - The Moon slipped from the misty fog of Pisces to the Aries fire starter. Warm yourself, there is much to do. The Aries Moon speaks to Venus, the Sun, and Mars in a square to Capricorn. Cardinal to cardinal. Fire to earth. Yang to yin. Where we are feeling still takes on a quality of movement now. Stores open. Maybe you return to the workplace. Homes are tidied. Yuletide had the benefit of a Pisces Moon. Beautiful. And now we wake from our sweet slumber to get on with getting on.

With the square from the Aries Moon to the Capricorn Sun we enter the first quarter moon phase. Something new wants to come through and yet some control stands in its way. Not necessarily comfortable but necessary.

The Eight of Wands speaks to movement. Motion, action, and change. A little or a lot. With the Eight of Wands a messenger of sorts arrives. Things line up….click, click. You’re out and about. How was your holiday? Oh yes, that’s lovely, you say. It’s nice to pause.

The blasted Tower haha….what have we built? Did we build a tower to keep us from living, to keep us tucked away? Did you build it for a vantage point…better to observe? A place to send a signal like a lighthouse, perhaps. Today, The Tower feels less of a foundational rumble but a shifting passage. From one sense of being to another. Wake slowly.

SELF-AWARE - The Moon entered Aqaurius yesterday just before noon. She had a little tete de tete with Pluto via a conjunction and then moved on….quietly moving on through Aquarius. She makes one aspect today, this evening, as she connects with Mercury in Sagittarius. The Moon and Mercury…feelings come up from our body and can come out our mouths. Just sayin 😉

Venus is active this week…engaging in a square with Neptune in Pisces and moving on to Capricorn…on Wednesday. The lead up to this square can feel like our relationships, our self-esteem, the things we value get a bit fuzzy. I find this time of year a little overstimulating…maybe you do too. This can lead to doubt and anxiety.

The cards today are full of doubt and anxiety. Could be your mind is roaring with “shoulds”. The Nine of Swords is particularly stressful. This is a time when you need self-care the most. A shapeless worry is being polished in your mind and can rob you of your rest and your peace. We can banish this beast back to where it came from by being compassionate with ourselves, trying to go slowly, and practicing positive self talk.

The Five of Swords cautions against conflict. It feels like adversity or a disadvantage. You may want to tip the scales in your favour. It is recommended that you take a beat before acting on your thoughts. Take a walk. It is time to honour who you are not a time to push back. Find the support of a loved one to talk it out.

Often it comes down to being self-aware. Noticing what is happening in our bodies in certain situations or circumstances. Those feelings in your body travel up to your mind. Those thoughts can rankle and entangle you. Time to breathe. Time to understand what is truly going on for you, within you. ✨
