GOOD DAY SUNSHINE - Happy Venus Day, dear ones! In honour of Venus, sending love to you all! ❤️💛🧡💙🩵💜🩷💚

The Moon is in the final decan of Virgo, ruled by Mercury and associated with the Ten of Pentacles. Tens close out a story and in Virgo, we close out a story of bodies, possessions, and money. Material resources for our lives and livelihoods. As she makes her way through the final degrees of Virgo, the Moon will sextile the Sun in Scorpio, sextile Jupiter Rx in Cancer, and oppose Saturn Rx in Pisces.

The Moon carries messages in our bodies. She is touching on the placements in the water signs…a nod to the emotionality of things. At the beginning of next week, the Scorpio Sun activates the grand water trine…just in time for the new moon 🌑

The Strength card reminds us of the fire within, our inner nature, our natural fire. 🔥 Fire can bring large emotions. The Strength card asks for our courage when we are traveling through challenging landscapes. Do we have the courage to see what’s in our hearts? How can we channel expression?

The Sun card is life-affirming and radiant. Wherever the Sun shines, a shadow is revealed. How does your inner Sun shine outward to the world? Is is soft and warm or intense and unrelenting? The Sun is very yang…outward. How can we experience our own Sun? It is reflected back to us by others.

The seasons are changing, my loves, and we will have less and less of the Sun in our days. We start to see mandarins in the grocery stores…little round essences of the Sun. Mix mandarin or orange, cinnamon, rosemary, and juniper together…in a bowl, in a simmer pot, anyway that appeals to you. Breathe in the Sun. ✨

GROUND - The Moon entered Virgo last evening and will be here until Saturday morning. Virgo will keep us in check. Everything that needs doing will be highlighted. But not just any old way…done with priority, precision, and process. The Virgo Moon sends its message of “doing” to its ruler, Mercury, now retrograde and in conjunction with Mars in Sagittarius. In our way, we see our efforts to communicate and take action in the light of the Virgo Moon. In a square with Mercury and Mars, the Virgo Moon gives us pause…does something need a do-over?

Later today, the Virgo Moon will sextile Venus. The balm to our questions and quarrels. If you sense a need to apologize, to forgive yourself or others, Venus in Scorpio gives you the opportunity to see into the truth of these feelings. Go gently with yourself….and others.

The Ace of Pentacles is a slow moving earth energy opportunity. Something comes in to your field that is grounded in the material world. The hand of the Divine reaches into view…here you go. A material resource. A gift from the Universe.

The Three of Pentacles reminds us that we often need others when we are building or bringing something into reality. We are not alone in our efforts. Each of us provides energetic vibrations to one another. How we pick up those vibrations depends a great deal on our perception…of who we are in the world and where it is we are going. NO RUNNING WITH SCISSORS - The Leo Moon connects with the Scorpio Sun today to bring us the last quarter moon. Here, we tie up any loose ends. We discover, we share, what we have learned during this last lunar cycle. We are coming to the new moon in Scorpio next week…and we begin again. Cycles going round and round, spiralling upward. Each lesson connected with one further down on the spiral. We are not who we were then.

Today presents another opportunity 🤭 to learn about ourselves and our experience here in Earth school. Mercury Rx in their apparent backward motion connects with Mars via a conjunction in Sagittarius. Expression…the lesson of this week…catches up to us. Especially with the moon in Leo.

Communication heats up…fast. Opinions clash…ignition. Lots of fire. Now, maybe this is only something you witness out and about today. Or, it rises up in you and you want to “express” yourself. Deep breath, one beat, maybe two. We can learn more when we sink into our hearts rather than our egos.

The cards are big energy today too. Connected to Capricorn (The Devil) and Virgo (The Hermit). Both earth signs. One cardinal. One mutable. Both yin. Something is initiated, received, and moves forward.

The Devil asks what feels oppressive. Are you stuck in some hard edge loop? It calls to what you are tempted by…what compromises your freedom. Where can you regain power and control?

ODE TO JOVE - The Leo Moon sticks around for the day. They trine Mercury Rx in Sagittarius. Fire to fire. Fixed to mutable. Yang to yang. Expression from a place of solar strength. The Sun is in Scorpio for another ten days…what have we discovered when we look deeply into the well of our existence?

Jupiter, the great benefic, the Great Expander, God of Gods…has been blessing our Cancer houses since June 9 of this year and will remain there until June 30, 2026. Today, the giant planet stations retrograde at 25 degrees. Jove will be retrograde until March 11, 2026.

Jupiter performs with ease in Cancer. It is the home of their exaltation. And while there has been expansion and abundance, there has also been excess. During the retrograde period, we station our Chariot and turn from expansion to evaluation. What has come in since June? A lot? Was it what you wanted?

The decans of Cancer are the Two, Three, and Four of Cups. In the Two of Cups we fall under the spell of someone who shares life values and common commitments. In the Three of Cups we find the others to dance and celebrate with. The Four of Cups comes along and we are a bit spent now. Maybe we have engaged with external forces and been carried off. Is it what we want?

In the Four of Cups, Jupiter stations retrograde. We go in. We turn inward. The answers we seek are there. Jupiter in Cancer expands the need for safety, stability, security for ourselves, for the ones who are home to us…and our homes. Pull your energy back to you from places where you have overextended, overreached, overlooked, overgiven.

Jupiter blesses us with expansion. It is up to us to discern sustainability. Time for Chariot (Cancer’s card) maintenance…what drives you? Is it enough? Not enough? Trust yourself. ✨

CLAIMING SELF EXPRESSION - We start the day with the Cancer Moon reaching out to Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and Uranus. The Cancer Moon finishes her work at home and heads into a void reappearing as the Leo Moon this afternoon.

The Leo Moon will oppose Pluto in Aquarius, trine Mars in Sag, and square Venus in Scorpio. This afternoon is edgy. Our values and what we desire could be challenging to take action on. We might feel a sense of why bother.

The Leo Moon is ruled by the Sun, currently in Scorpio. Leo expresses. The Sun shines diligently. Maybe we want share broadly our opinions on things…no grand gestures but a sincere desire to share what we have discovered. You might hit a snag, or, trip on a differing viewpoint. All in all day’s work.

The Knight of Cups like other knights is on a mission. They don’t fire things up like the Knight of Wands or fly in off the cuff like the King of Swords. They move more slowly and related to water flow in like a river. I mean, if they had to, they could speed things up but where that isn’t necessary, the mission is about care. Taking care, giving care. See the wings on their helmet? Hermes, Mercury, is part of the equation.

The Page of Arrows (Swords) is young and ambitious. They want to know. Sometimes, they don’t know and they don’t want anyone to know. And yet, they are eager and ready. This is the starting point of a journey to know. Part of the learning journey for this Page is to have courage to speak up. Exploring ideas helps to develop self expression.

We can be uncomfortable with speaking up, sharing our thoughts and ideas. Surround yourself with trusted companions to try out a new idea or opinion. Claim self-expression for yourself. Channel your inner Knight of Cups by leaning into a calm place and let your inner Page of Swords try on an opinion for size. ✨

BACKTRACKING - The Moon is in Cancer and our feels are directed towards those we are close to, those who feel like home to us. What do they need? A hug, a cup of tea, a warm blanket, an ear? Check on your peeps. It will do your heart good to know that they know you care for them.

This afternoon Mercury stations retrograde in Sagittarius. They are at 6 degrees…so just picking up speed and wait! We might have forgotten something. We go back into Scorpio on November 18 to resolve, review, reschedule…return. Mercury will be retrograde until November 29.

Sagittarius is a mutable fire sign and Scorpio a fixed water sign…could go either of two ways…water applied to fire can boil or be extinguished. Depends what we find during the retrograde. Seems to me it will be like, nope, I don’t need that or hey, this is the missing piece. Embrace the opportunity to do-over, do-begin, do-release. There is extra time for a reason.

In this last Mercury retrograde of 2025, we are in Temperance territory and return to Death’s doorway…and then move forward. During Scorpio season we unpack some deep s**t so that when we enter Sagittarius we are ready to get going. So now we are backtracking…following breadcrumbs back to around October 21. At the new moon in Libra. Maybe our intentions need to be tweaked, aligned, clarified.

Temperance invites a balance. Do you have the tools you need to strike this alchemy? Is overworking, overindulgence a thing?

Death invites transformation. What are we carrying that is not needed for this next adventure? What has changed?

It might be time to ask yourself the tough questions. To face the fears. To challenge the beliefs you have outgrown. ✨

FILL UR CUP - The Moon will slip into the comforting waters of home, her domicile Cancer, just before lunchtime. As she does, she enters the Two of Cups decan and activates Venus in Scorpio sitting in the Five of Cups decan. Water to water. Cardinal to fixed. Yin to yin. Trine.

The Scorpio Sun sits in the Six of Cups decan for a few more days. Memories. Nostalgia. Can we move forward? Does sitting in the past bring us any knowings? Today, our Scorpio Sun reaches out to the North Node in Pisces, the place of our hunger. It calls. The North Node sits at the Nine of Cups decan. Water to water. Fixed to mutable. Yin to yin. Trine.

A lot of water, ya?

The Two of Cups (Cancer Moon) trining the Five of Cups (Scorpio Venus) reminds us of the realities of working together. There will be the joy of unity, of bonding. But there will also be the disappointment, regret, and grief. All of our experiences ride the inner waters of our bodies…the good, the bad, the ugly. If we are lucky we work it out. We get honest with one another.

The Six of Cups (Scorpio Sun) trining the Nine of Cups (Pisces North Node) we recall the happy, joyous times and the satisfying feeling of fulfillment. Memories can be a double-edged sword….providing proof of our ability to secure feelings of goodness, happiness and perhaps also providing a trigger to lesser than great times. As we look toward the future can we release the emotional strife and believe in better?

THE INTELLIGENCE OF THE CALL - The Moon is skipping through Gemini today…almost stealthily, making no aspects to the other planets. She is making room for other energy to be noticed.

Uranus, a generational planet, the Great Awakener, will glide back into Ta**us tonight. A slow moving electric planet, Uranus is said to be a higher octave of Mercury. Uranus entered Ta**us in 2018. This will be their last hoorah in Ta**us for about 84 years. We are not the same people we were in 2018. In Ta**us, land, food, and basic security was turned on its side. Things changed in our Ta**us houses.

Venus, the planet of relationships, beauty, art and ruler of Ta**us & Libra, dropped into the deep end yesterday…into Scorpio where she is in detriment, not well resourced. Venus will use Scorpionic tools during her visit here. This is no surface level attraction. This is not for show. Here, in Scorpio, she will demand loyalty, trust and a love with a view of the darkness. Today, Venus squares off with Pluto in Aquarius. A power struggle ensues. We name what we feel. And it might not be attractive but it will be real.

Judgement calls. This is Pluto’s card. It calls you to transcend your existence…to find meaning. There is intelligence here. What calls you? This is the time that you can no longer pretend to not see it, feel it, be it. This is the crossroads.

The Two of Wands answers Judgement’s call. There is a vision. An inspiration. A fire in your belly. You hold the world in your hand. Now, is the time for planning and expansion. A boundary comes up for review. A desire speaks to us in ways we may not have heard before.

DOMINION - The victory speech by Zohran Mamdani brings hope not only to the citizens of New York City but to the citizens of the world. A wonderful orator, Mamdani, overcame countless challenges to win the seat of Mayor NYC. It felt hopeful and true. So good after many months of disbelief, anger, and horror.

So, dear readers, many of us who do not live in the US but have watched from afar as a great country has been taken over by thugs. We feel pinched and silenced. Inadequate. But Mamdani brings it home, grounds us…says we are one, we are not forgotten.

As the Ta**us Moon begins to wane and then to leave her exalted place today around noon, I am thinking of the earth, our bodies, and our life on this earthly plane. Over the next couple of days, the cosmos shift once more…the moon moves into Gemini, Venus into Scorpio, and Uranus Rx re-enters Ta**us. The Moon in Gemini is activated, jumpy. Venus in Scorpio dissolves in the watery depths. And Uranus Rx will tie up some loose ends in Ta**us until next year.

I couldn’t help thinking of humanity’s evolution and where the current political landscape and outer planets are taking us. Can we rally? Can we secure our needs in this environment? Interestingly, I pulled two earth/pentacle cards…the Knight and the Queen. Both slow moving, stable, practical. Where can changes be made in your life to create a more thoughtful existence?

The Emperor jumped out to say, we are sovereign, we have agency. Who has dominion over you? Who do you give dominion to? What needs to change for you to secure dominion unto yourself?

In the fading light of autumn, as the air grows sharp and the nights stretch long, we set to crafting Tormund Beard Balm. A balm worthy of the wild and the wise, thus reflective of the big red beard man from Game of Thrones.

The cauldron simmered for many hot hours, the local beeswax slowly drawing forth the essence of herbs and resins: Amyris and frankincense, spruce and lavender, black pepper and sandalwood, each giving up their spirit to the golden brew.

Shea butter, jojoba, safflower, and castor bean oils joined the mix, rich and steadfast companions, while cedarwood whispered of ancient forests and vitamin E bestowed its quiet strength.

At last, the blend was poured and left to cool beneath the hum of the night.
A balm forged for wanderers, warriors, and bearded keepers of old ways.

THE WATER IS DEEP - The Aries Moon moved through the early hours attaching to Chiron, bumping into Jupiter, and throwing stares at Venus across the way. My dreams were active. How about yours?

The Moon has gone void now and will return to full duty around noon when she slips into Ta**us. Fire to earth. As the Ta**us Moon travels her exalted place, she bumps into Pluto in Aquarius this afternoon. Fixed to fixed. Earth to air. Dust is kicked up.

The Moon’s timing is in sync with Mars. Mars will enter Sagittarius from Scorpio, just before first break, second (or third 😱) coffee. Out from the emotional depth of Scorpio into the bonfire adventure that is Sagittarius. Fixed to mutable. Water to fire.

Around the time the Ta**us Moon engages with Pluto, Mars opposes Uranus Rx in Gemini. Something comes into our field of energy that is surprising and possibly triggering for you or someone you know.

The cards lay down strength in water and earth. The Queen of Cups has a strategy of growth through emotion. She recognizes her own need for emotional strength and yet can offer others comfort and safety. Deeply connected to her intuition the Queen of Cups gives herself space for her own needs and those of others.
