We had an ARGUMENT.

👇

SHE said,

"Mobility matters most!!"

I said,

"NONSENSE!!! We need stability more!!!"

SHE said,

"Without mobility, you can't have a full range of muscle to work with and you CAN'T GET STRONG!!"

I said,

"What good is all strength for if your smaller muscles can't CONTROL YOUR JOINTS?"

As you can imagine...IT WAS GETTING PRETTY TENSE.

But as we STOPPED to think about things, we realized one simple FACT.

💡 POSTURE MATTERS MOST.

Because......

1️⃣ Mobility and stability are each descriptions of jobs that muscles perform. How a muscle acts depends largely upon how much tension is on it at rest. In other words, is a muscle:

✔ SHORT AND TIGHT = OVERACTIVE

✔ LONG AND INHIBITED = UNDERACTIVE

2️⃣ Muscles are attached to joints. Joints are areas that connect bones and allow for movement to occur.

3️⃣ If our joints are out of alignment, then muscles can't move appropriately.

Since we define our posture based upon the alignment of our joints......

Hello all my wonderful clients. Just wanted you to all know I’m back in the office and booking appointments. There are a few new guidelines in place for your safety.

When arriving to your appointment please wait outside or in your vehicle until you are waved in or I message you. This gives us time time to sanitize between appointments.

When entering the building please take hand sanitizer and go straight to the treatment room.

You are welcome to wear a mask. It’s not mandatory. (I have been wearing a mask especially while clients are face up)

Paying with debit or credit card is ideal for contactless payment.

Please do not come if you have any symptoms of cold/flu. I will understand if you need to cancel.

To all my wonderful patient clients. Yesterday the Provincial government announced RMT’s are allowed to start back to work as early as May 4 but with that being said there is lots of new guidelines and protocols that need to be put in place before I can re open my doors. I need time to find the proper cleaning supplies and PPE protection. I will be in touch with all of you very soon. I have missed you all.

Dear Clients
I’m currently monitoring the situation for Covid-19. I already practice frequent hand washing and sanitation of my massage room and waiting area. I will up the sanitization on door handles, light switches and other commonly touched areas.
Massage Therapy Association of Manitoba has been sending out information and I will be following their guide lines to keep my clients and myself safe as possible.
For the time being I will be staying open, but all cancellations fees will be waved. If you or any of your family members have any symptoms of cold/flu please do not come in.
Please take time to make decisions on your own personal health and whether you have people in your life that are vulnerable to getting sick.
