Mood Walks Brantford Mood Walks is a walking group in Brantford, Ont for adults living with mental health disorders. Are you interested in walking to improve your mental health?

Then Mood Walks is for you! Mood Walks promotes both physical and mental health by encouraging group members to be physically active. Participants take part in group walks on local hiking trails and at various Grand River Conservation Areas. Spending more time outdoors in nature has been proven to increase mental well-being. Members learn about nature and safe hiking practices while exploring some of our city’s 70 km of beautiful trails. Mood Walks is a HOPE Brant program and is partially funded by the Canadian Mental Health Association Brant-Haldimand-Norfolk

We have a very special activity planned called
Valentine’s for Vets. 🇨🇦

We’ll be creating Valentine’s cards filled with kind messages for veterans as a small but meaningful way to show our appreciation for all they do. No artistic experience required. Just bring your kindness and creativity. ❤️

Our drop-in is open from 12:00 to 2:30 p.m. at 20 Darling Street. If crafting isn’t your thing, you’re still very welcome to stop by for peer support, coffee, and some friendly chit-chat.

As always, trained peer support specialists will be available for one-on-one conversations if you’re struggling with your mental health. We hope to see you there.

We were hoping to kick off our winter session of Mood Walks today, but the cold weather has proven to be a bit too much for even our most dedicated hike leaders to brave. As a result, we will be CANCELING today’s walk.

We’re keeping our fingers crossed that the weather warms up by next Wednesday. If it doesn’t, we’ll still be meeting, just with a slightly cozier plan. Instead of walking, we’ll gather for a coffee, some good conversation, and to map out routes for the winter season together.

Our winter session of Mood Walks begins tomorrow morning! While it’s shaping up to be a chilly one, we’re still hoping for a short, refreshing walk followed by a well-deserved stop for a nice warm coffee.

It’s a great chance to get a little movement in, lift your mood, enjoy some social connection, and share a few good conversations along the way. Bundle up and join us. We’d love to see you tomorrow morning at 10:00 a.m. We meet at 20 Darling Street.

We’ve made the difficult decision to postpone the start of our Winter Mood Walk session due to illness. This winter has been a particularly tough one, with many illnesses circulating, and our top priority is always the health and safety of our staff, volunteers, and program participants.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and truly appreciate your understanding. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on January 28th, ready to walk, breathe, and boost our moods together.

We're excited to announce that the Winter Session of Mood Walks begins on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.

Yes, it’s chilly outside, but there’s something wonderfully refreshing about stepping outside to clear your mind, ease anxiety, and give your mood a well-deserved boost.

So bundle up and join us for some fresh air, friendly conversation, and of course, the occasional cozy coffee/hot chocolate break to keep everyone toasty.
