Mood Walks Brantford

Mood Walks Brantford Mood Walks is a walking group in Brantford, Ont for adults living with mental health disorders. Are you interested in walking to improve your mental health?

Then Mood Walks is for you! Mood Walks promotes both physical and mental health by encouraging group members to be physically active. Participants take part in group walks on local hiking trails and at various Grand River Conservation Areas. Spending more time outdoors in nature has been proven to increase mental well-being. Members learn about nature and safe hiking practices while exploring some of our city’s 70 km of beautiful trails. Mood Walks is a HOPE Brant program and is partially funded by the Canadian Mental Health Association Brant-Haldimand-Norfolk

At HOPE, we believe that gratitude and hope walk hand in hand. Gratitude reminds us to pause and appreciate the moments, people, and small victories that light our way. Hope gives us the strength to keep moving forward, even on those tough days.

When we pair gratitude with hope, we create space for healing, connection, and growth. Not just for ourselves but for everyone around us.

We’re so grateful for our amazing community. For every smile, every kind word, every shared story of strength and recovery, we are reminded that even in difficult times, hope is never lost.

This weekend, take a moment to reflect on something or someone that fills your heart with gratitude. Let’s keep nurturing hope and celebrating the little things that make life meaningful.

Happy Thanksgiving!

World Mental Health Day! 🌎

Today, we join people around the world in raising awareness, promoting education, and advocating for better mental health for all.

This year’s theme is “Access to Services: Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies” which highlights the urgent need to ensure everyone can access mental health care and community supports, especially in times of crisis such as natural disasters and conflict.

Access to mental health services isn’t just about treatment, it’s about connection, belonging, and having a supportive community.

A strong sense of community is essential to our well-being. It helps us thrive, and for those living with mental illness, it can make all the difference in easing feelings of loneliness and isolation.

At HOPE, our weekend drop-in programs provide many of the key elements that support mental wellness, including:
🌻 A sense of belonging by offering a place where you can be yourself and be appreciated for your unique qualities.
🌻 Genuine support from peers who understand and can walk alongside you through life’s challenges.

Together, we can help ensure that no one faces mental health challenges alone.
Let’s continue to build communities of care, compassion, and connection.
Not just today, but every day. 💚

We couldn’t run our Walk for HOPE 2025 or continue running our peer support drop-in programs without the incredible support of our sponsors. 💚

Luis and his family at LP Dozer have been sponsoring our Walk for many years.

Not only does he sponsor us, but his wife, Lucia, collects pledges from their very generous extended family!

Your ongoing support is helping us keep doors open and hearts connected. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!
