My name is Jillian Atwell(Coxhead) and I have started doing what I am doing because I have recently Lost my father to suicide. I am not the only one who has lost a loved one to suicide. My opinions are my opinions, and I do not expect everyone to agree with everything I always say on this page.But these are thoughts and feelings, and honest real life answers , along with "some" book knowledge.I am trained in Mental Health, many areas of Mental Health, but thats not where I recieved my understanding,my compassion, or my drive to help people.That comes from within, it is a passion of mine to help people and prevent suicide, and let these people know that they are not alone.if we dont talk about this stuff the knowledge stays within,I chose to explode it. Because I feel its important people know about this.That mental illness is there,and its ok to talk about it.Not all answers and help can come from books and medication.People need to speak out.That way the research can be done.The counsellors are the ones whoneed to understand, and have passion for there job, take pride in their work, and treat each individual as if that persons life was in their hands.Treat it as your own.If you cant, find a different career path,these people deserve your care and compassion...lets start showing them its there even when they cant get it from the Doctor or hospital,
