Back progress. Back development has always been a weakness of mine. Ever since I started using straps I’ve noticed significant improvement in developing my mind to muscle connection, specifically when it relates to back targeted exercises (lat pull-downs, rows, etc.). Straps help remove the forearms from the equation and truly isolate the muscles in focus. Comment if you have noticed similar changes to your back when switching to straps. Keep grinding everyone 💪🏻!

Rest day morning view ❤️ Don’t forget the importance of rest and recovery. The hardest part of improving for me has always been taking time away from doing what I love (training) to rest. Rest and recovery is the most essential part of the process if your goal is to continuously improve. It is during this time off when the body is able to heal itself, recover and come back stronger. Treat your rest day as part of the overall process. Remember, exercise isn’t who you are, it is something you do. Take time to focus on building social relationships, eat foods you enjoy, take time to evaluate your goals. Life is about balance. To truly become the most improved version of yourself, balance is essential. It starts with rest.

The art of learning is such a crucial skill if one’s goal is to progress in life. Your ego will continue to try and convince you that you know everything. You are worthy of that promotion you received, you are worthy of that marathon medal, you can do anything you put your mind too. It takes a special individual to step back, let purpose over rule passion, and be a realist. None of us know everything, which is why it is so important to continually seek out knowledge, stay humble, and progress slowly. Don’t let your ego stop you from achieving your true potential in this life.

Focus on your own internal goal. Do it, not for some external reward, but because it is what you were put on this earth to do. Take the steps necessary to reach that goal, stay humble in the process, and move on.

Looking for an alternative exercise for tricep extensions from home. Diamond push ups are your friend and one of my favourite exercises. If you are at a level in which you are capable of doing this exercise correctly, I would highly recommend incorporating it into your home push workout.
