Our Embracing Ability Program is growing … and now we need YOU to help us bring it to life on the field!

The Burlington Soccer Club is proud to offer this incredible program—creating a fun, inclusive soccer experience for children and youth with developmental and/or physical disabilities. Whether they’re kicking a ball for the first time or building their skills, our athletes thrive because of dedicated volunteers like you.

✨ This isn’t just volunteering — it’s impact.
You’ll help build confidence, create friendships, and make every athlete feel like they belong.

🎓 Mandatory Training (New Volunteers)

✅ Volunteer Requirements
• Age 13+
• Minimum 80% attendance
• Complete Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) training before your first shift
• Bring positive energy, patience, and a love for helping others

Summer is almost here, and the Burlington Soccer Club’s Embracing Ability Program is getting ready for another incredible season! ☀️

We’re looking for enthusiastic, caring volunteers to join our team and help create a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment for our amazing athletes.

☀️ Volunteers Needed – Join the Fun This Summer! ⚽💙

Our Summer Embracing Ability Program kicks off the last week of May, and we’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join us as buddies for our amazing athletes!

We’re seeking volunteers who can join us on Tuesday and/or Thursday evenings at Sherwood Forest Park. As a buddy, you’ll help support an athlete on the field, share some laughs, build connections, and be part of a truly rewarding experience.

Want to make it even more fun? Bring a friend! Come out together, volunteer side-by-side, and spend your evenings making a difference while enjoying the game.

We are so excited to welcome Braeden as our Embracing Ability Ambassador !

Braeden is a 16-year-old with a big heart, a great sense of humor, and an even bigger love for soccer. Known for being funny, kind, and endlessly supportive, Braedy shows up for the people around him in ways that matter.

As an Ambassador for the Burlington Bayhawks Embracing Ability program, Braedy is passionate about spreading awareness that having special needs does not define limits or potential. He believes success looks different for everyone and that inclusion, kindness, and opportunity can change lives.

A true lover of people, Braedy leads with empathy, positivity, and determination both on and off the field, proving every day that ability comes in many forms.
