Each year the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs (FWE) hosts an annual gala called Pitch for the Purse. Pitch for the Purse gives Canadian women entrepreneurs an opportunity to share a business pitch, work with a mentor, and win cash prizes to help grow their business. Applications are reviewed by community panelists and 3 finalists are selected. The 19th annual Gala will be a 60-minute virtual show on February 25, 2021 at 5:00 PM, where viewers/supporters join and participate in the FWE magic and VOTE LIVE to pick the winner of the grand prize. $50,000 to help grow their business!

I am a crafter based in Burnaby, British Columbia, and I’ve decided to join the many local crafters creating these simple plastic pieces so that ears of essential services workers are not rubbed raw from the elastic of medical masks that they have to wear for 8 to 12 hours (or maybe more).
