Exciting news from Metrotown Active Health! Today, I had the pleasure of meeting with Luis Patterson, director of Valour Fencing and a decorated gold medal fencing champion, right here at our clinic. We snapped a photo together to celebrate the start of an exciting new partnership!

Metrotown Active Health is thrilled to announce that we’ll be supporting and getting involved with the Valour Fencing team. Luis brings an incredible legacy to the sport-he’s a two-time Pan American Champion, Junior World Cup Champion, and a passionate coach with over 20 years of experience guiding athletes from beginners to national team competitors. His commitment to excellence and community aligns perfectly with our mission to help people move, perform, and feel their best.

With over 15 years of physiotherapy experience in both Iran and Canada, Sep brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for helping people move better, feel stronger, and live pain-free. He specializes in musculoskeletal and sports injuries, post-op rehab, vestibular and concussion management, and chronic pain. Sep is also certified in dry needling (IMS), which he often integrates into his holistic, hands-on treatment plans.

Outside the clinic, Sep is an active living advocate-he loves hiking, running, tennis, and strength training, and is dedicated to empowering others to take charge of their health.

What an inspiring Saturday in Burnaby! 🚒🔥

This morning, I had the privilege of attending the grand opening of Fire Station 8 on Burnaby Mountain with my family. The new station is truly state-of-the-art-equipped for every emergency and staffed by some of the most dedicated people you’ll ever meet. It was wonderful to meet Mayor Mike Hurley and see firsthand the city’s commitment to safety, innovation, and community care.

Later in the evening, I joined the Burnaby Firefighters Gala to support their incredible charitable work. It was great to see the mayor again and connect with so many passionate people working to make Burnaby better for everyone.

Supporting our firefighters is personal for me. When my daughter was a baby and experienced several seizures, it was the firefighters who arrived first every time we called 911. Their presence made us feel safe during some of our most difficult moments. Now, I’m grateful for the chance to give back and support these everyday heroes and the community that means so much to us.

Thank you, Burnaby Firefighters, for all you do-and thank you to everyone working to make our city a safer, healthier place. Looking forward to contributing even more to this wonderful community! ❤️
