We are excited to announce that Ellie has been selected for the Foundry BC Provincial Youth Advisory Committee! Ellie will represent Burns Lake and Northern BC on a provincial scale!
Ellie is 16, and she speaks English and French. She's a dog person, and her favourite food is ice cream.
She's a devoted cadet sergeant with her corps, Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps 3080 Burns Lake. She is fortunate to hold a leadership position with the best team ever. In cadets, she is an advisor with the Interior Area Senior Cadet Council, where she works with an awesome team to improve the program for others.
Ellie is also a School District 91 Student Voice representative on behalf of Lakes District Secondary School. She loves working with her peers to make her school system a safe and supportive environment for all students.
Ellie participates with our local Foundry Youth Advisory Council, and recently the Provincial council, of course. She enjoys making a difference for her fellow youth. Ellie's guiding principle for all of her activities is to make a difference by leaving the world better than she found it.
