🩺 Medical Office Assistant – Calabogie Medical Centre
📍 Location: Calabogie, Ontario
⏰ Position Type: Part-time until May 2026 and Full-time (Monday–Friday) starting May 2026 until November 2027 to cover a maternity leave. There is an opportunity to be hired full-time afterward, as we are actively looking to recruite another physician to join our office.

• Greet and assist patients in a welcoming, professional manner
• Manage phone calls, appointment scheduling, and patient inquiries
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR)
• Process referrals, requisitions, and medical documentation
• Support physicians with administrative tasks
• Handle billing submissions (OHIP and third-party)
• Ensure exam rooms and front office areas remain clean, organized, and well-stocked
• Protect patient confidentiality and follow all office policies and procedures

🎓 Qualifications

• Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred (but not required)
• Proficiency with EMR systems (PS Suite experience an asset)
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small, supportive team
• Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused attitude

In this single-session workshop, our mental health team will explore Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)—what it is, common signs and symptoms, causes, and risk factors. Together, we’ll look at practical tools and strategies to proactively support your mental health through fall and winter.
