Some days we feel wired, restless, overstimulated, and like we just cannot settle.

Other days we feel foggy, depleted, heavy, or low on energy.

This is why our yoga practice cannot always look the same.

One of the most supportive things we can do is pause, listen, and meet ourselves where we are. The practice that serves you best today may be different from the one that served you yesterday.

Sometimes your body needs softness, grounding, and rest.
Sometimes it needs gentle movement, breath, and energy.
Neither is wrong. Both are valid.

Honoring your nervous system is part of self-compassion.

I wrote a new blog post on this topic, exploring the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system, and how yoga can help us choose the practice that truly supports us in the moment.

If you have ever wondered why some days a slow, nourishing practice feels best, and other days you need to move and shift energy, this one is for you.

Tight hips after a long day?

If your hips feel tight after a long day, these are 3 gentle shapes to come back to.
A little space, a little breath, and a little softness can go a long way.

⭐️Supta Kapotasana (Reclined Pigeon)
⭐️Anjaneyasana (Low lunge)
⭐️Baddha Konasana (Butterfly)

Simple, supportive, and easy to come back to after a long day.

Save this for later and return to it when you need a reset.

Curious about Reiki but not quite sure what it is?

You are not alone. Reiki is something many people feel drawn to, but it can also feel a little mysterious at first. That is exactly why I wanted to write this blog post.

In my newest post, I am sharing a gentle introduction to Reiki and energy healing in a way that feels simple, grounded, and approachable. We explore what Reiki is, what a session may feel like, and how this practice can support relaxation, balance, rest, and inner calm.

Reiki is not about force or fixing. It is about creating space for the body, mind, and energy to soften. It is a chance to slow down, receive, and reconnect with yourself in a deeper way.

If you have been feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, drained, or simply curious about energy healing, this post is a beautiful place to begin. Whether Reiki is completely new to you or something you have been interested in for a while, I hope this offers a little clarity and a gentle invitation to explore.

Inside the blog, I talk about:
What Reiki is
What happens during a Reiki session
What Reiki may feel like
How Reiki can support the nervous system and emotional well-being
Why you do not need to have everything figured out before trying it

If Reiki has been calling to you lately, maybe this is your sign to lean in and learn more.

5 Principles of Arm Balances + Inversions

1. Mindset matters
The stories you tell yourself matter. Thoughts like “I’m not strong enough” or “I’m going to fall” can hold you back before you even begin. Try shifting that inner dialogue. Remind yourself that you are capable, that you can learn, and that your body is wiser than fear wants you to believe.

2. Alignment creates lift
Arm balances and inversions are not just about strength. They are also about structure. When your joints are stacked well and your foundation is set, the body works more efficiently. That is where stability, support, and lightness begin.

3. Trust the edge
There is often a moment where it feels like you might tip too far. That point can feel uncomfortable, but it is also often where the balance begins. Learning to meet that moment with breath and trust is part of the practice.

4. Warm up with purpose
Preparing the body well makes a big difference. Think about what the pose asks of you. What needs to strengthen, what needs to open, and what needs to activate? A purposeful warm up helps you feel more supported and more ready to explore.

5. Let your gaze guide you
Your focus matters. Where you look can help shape the pose. Keep your gaze slightly forward rather than dropping it down, and let your eyes help guide your balance while keeping the neck relaxed.

Arm balances and inversions are not about forcing. They are about patience, practice, and learning to trust yourself along the way.

Most people think yoga is all about stretching muscles, but there is so much more happening beneath the surface.

Fascia is the connective tissue that wraps around and supports everything in the body, including muscles, joints, organs, and nerves. It plays a big role in how we move, how we feel, and where we hold tension.

Sometimes what feels like tight muscles is actually a restriction in the fascia.

This is one reason slower, more mindful practices can be so powerful. Yin yoga, breathwork, longer holds, and myofascial release give the body space to soften, release, and reconnect.

Yoga is not always about going deeper into a pose. Sometimes it is about listening more closely, moving with intention, and creating space in a gentler way.

If your body has been asking for softness, support, or release, this is your reminder that slower still matters.

The Spring Equinox arrives like a quiet exhale.

A soft turning of the season.
A gentle shift from darkness into light.
A moment of balance where day and night meet, reminding us that life is always moving and always inviting us into something new.

There is something so sacred about this threshold.

After the quiet, inward energy of winter, spring begins to whisper. The light lingers a little longer. The earth softens. Tiny buds begin to appear. What once felt still begins to stir.

And maybe we do too.

The Spring Equinox is a beautiful reminder that renewal does not have to be rushed. Growth does not need to be loud to be meaningful. We do not need to force ourselves into blooming before we are ready.

We are allowed to unfold gently.

This season invites us to pause and listen.
To notice what feels ready to awaken.
To reflect on what we are being called to nurture.
To honour what feels heavy, what is ready to be released, and what new energy is beginning to rise.

The equinox reminds us that balance is not perfection. It is presence. It is checking in with yourself honestly and asking what is needed now.

Maybe your intention this season is to soften.
Maybe it is to trust.
Maybe it is to open your heart.
Maybe it is to make space for more joy, rest, or self-compassion.
Maybe it is simply to begin again.

You do not need to bloom all at once.
You do not need to have it all figured out.
You are allowed to grow at the pace of what is true.

So as we step into this new season, may we let it be simple.
May we let it be sacred.
May we root into what matters, soften into the present moment, and trust what is unfolding.

The Spring Equinox is a reminder that light returns.
That renewal is always possible.
And that there is beauty in beginning again.

What intention are you carrying into this new season?

If falling asleep has felt harder lately, you are not alone.

Sometimes the body is tired, but the mind is still carrying the whole day.

A gentle evening yoga ritual can help create a bridge between doing and resting. A few quiet shapes, a slower breath, softer lighting, and a little support can go a long way.

In my newest blog, I shared simple ways to use yoga at night to help your body unwind and prepare for sleep.

Have you ever wanted to try yoga, but felt nervous about walking into your first class?

You are not alone.

So many people think they need to be flexible, experienced, or somehow more “ready” before they begin. But the truth is, yoga does not ask you to arrive already knowing what you are doing. It asks you to show up as you are.

In my newest blog post, I’m sharing what to expect in your first yoga class, from the nerves, to the movement, to the reminder that you do not need to be perfect to belong in the room.

If you have been curious about starting, this is for you.

You do not need to be flexible.
You do not need to know all the poses.
You do not need to have it all figured out.
You just need a willingness to begin.

Sundays can be sweet… and also a little buzzy.
If your nervous system starts revving as Monday gets closer, this is your reminder that you can meet that feeling with softness, not pressure.

I just shared a Sunday Reset Ritual you can do in 20 minutes to calm your nervous system before the week begins.
It’s gentle, simple, and meant to help you feel more grounded in your body.

✨ The mini reset (save this):

Constructive Rest (knees bent, feet down)

Exhale-leaning breath (inhale 4, exhale 6)

Cat/Cow (slow + soothing)

Child’s Pose (with a pillow/bolster if you have one)

Legs up the wall (or calves on a chair)

Then make it a ritual:

☕ tea + 📝 one journal prompt:
“What do I need more of this week to feel regulated?”

You don’t need to start Monday already bracing.
You’re allowed to arrive to your week a little more supported.

Full blog is up now (link in bio).

Comment RESET if you want me to reply with the journal prompts.

Ever have days where everything feels like too much?
Not “I need to calm down” … more like your system is buzzing, your jaw is tight, your thoughts are loud, and even small things feel heavy.

This is your reminder: you don’t need to push through. You can downshift.

I wrote a gentle “Too Much” practice for the overstimulated days.
Think: soft movement + longer exhales + simple shapes that tell your nervous system, you’re safe enough right now.

Try this mini reset (20–30 mins):

1. Constructive Rest (knees bent, feet down)

2. Exhale emphasis breath (inhale 4, exhale 6)

3. Supine twist (slow, supported)

4. Child’s Pose with a pillow/bolster

5. Legs up the wall (or calves on a chair)

If you’re feeling tender today, do less than you think you “should.”
Less is still practice. Less is still healing.

✨ Full blog is up now on my website (link in bio).

Save this for the days your nervous system is maxed out.

Neck tight. Shoulders creeping up. Upper back stiff.
If you have “desk body,” you are not alone.

Most of us spend hours with our head forward and our arms in front of us. Typing, driving, scrolling, carrying stress. Your body adapts to that shape, and it can start to feel like tension is your default.

This is your reminder that your body has options.

I just posted a new blog on The Desk Body Reset, a gentle 15 minute practice to create space in your neck, shoulders, and T spine while also calming your nervous system.

You do not need an hour. You do not need to push.
You just need a few minutes to soften and breathe.

Inside the blog you’ll find:
✨ a simple breath reset
✨ upper back mobility (T spine love)
✨ shoulder and chest openers
✨ an easy sequence you can repeat anytime

Save this for your next work break and send it to a friend who lives at a desk.
