Life gets busy.
Energy shifts.
And sometimes our practice quietly slips to the side.

If you have been feeling disconnected from your mat, this is your reminder that nothing is lost. Yoga is not something you fall behind on. It is something you return to.

In my latest blog, I share gentle ways to stay connected to your practice during full seasons of life. No pressure. No all or nothing thinking. Just simple, supportive ways to come back home to yourself.

You do not need more discipline.
You need more compassion.

2025 was an incredibly difficult year for me. Losing my mother changed everything. Grief has a way of slowing time, shifting priorities, and asking you to pause, even when you had so many plans ready to unfold.

Because of that loss, a lot of what I had envisioned needed to be placed on hold, including the construction of my home studio. At the time, simply getting through each day was enough.

This week, that pause gently lifted.

Construction has officially started again. Electrical updates are underway, drywall is going up, and new doors have been installed. Each small step feels meaningful. Each sound of progress carries both remembrance and renewal.

Every day, I am a little closer to opening Prana Yoga and Wellness Centre. This space is being built with intention, love, and deep respect for the journey that brought me here. Thank you to everyone who has held space for me through this season.

If you feel called, I invite you to follow along as this space comes to life, one step at a time.

From intention to practice 🤍

So often we set resolutions with the hope of becoming someone new.
But real change happens when we begin living our intentions in small, embodied ways.

On the mat, this might look like choosing softness over effort.
Off the mat, it can be as simple as pausing for a breath, setting a boundary, or allowing yourself to rest without guilt.

Your intention does not need to be forced.
It needs to be practiced.

I’ve shared a new blog on how to move from intention into daily living, both on the mat and off. A gentle guide for letting your resolution become something you feel, not something you chase.

Guided Meditation - Reflecting on Your Sankalpa

Find a comfortable position.
Allow your body to settle, supported and at ease.
Let the eyes gently close, or soften your gaze.

Take a slow breath in through the nose.
And an easy breath out through the mouth.
Again, inhale…
And exhale, letting the body soften.

Bring your awareness inward.
Not to change anything.
Just to notice.

Begin to reconnect with your Sankalpa.
The intention you set from the heart.
There is no need to repeat the words exactly as you first chose them.
Simply sense the feeling behind it.

Notice how this intention has lived within you.
On the mat.
And beyond it.

Without judgment, reflect on what has shifted.
What feels more aligned now.
What feels lighter.
What feels true in this moment.

If your Sankalpa has softened, allow that.
If it has grown clearer, welcome that.
If it has transformed entirely, trust that evolution.

A Sankalpa is not something to force or perfect.
It is a quiet remembering.
A steady return to what matters most.

Rest here for a few breaths.
Let the intention meet you exactly as you are today.
No striving.
No expectation.

When you feel ready, gently invite the breath a little deeper.
Begin to notice the body again.
The points of contact beneath you.

And when it feels right, slowly open the eyes or lift the gaze.
Carry this reflection with you.
Let your Sankalpa continue to unfold, naturally and in its own time.

This year, I am choosing mindful resolutions over rigid goals.

Instead of striving to fix or force change, mindful resolutions invite us to slow down, listen, and respond with awareness. They are not about perfection or productivity. They are about presence.

A mindful resolution might sound like:
• choosing kindness toward yourself
• pausing before reacting
• noticing when your body is asking for rest

These intentions are not something to achieve. They are something to return to, again and again.

You do not need to rush your growth.
You do not need to become someone new.
You are allowed to move gently forward.

I shared more about mindful resolutions and how to create intentions rooted in presence on the blog. Link in bio 🤍

An intention does not come from striving.
It comes from listening.

A sankalpa is a heartfelt intention that reflects who you already are beneath the noise, the pressure, and the expectations. It is not a goal to achieve but a truth to remember.

Before setting an intention, pause.
Place a hand on your heart.
Ask what you truly need in this season of your life.

Let your intention arise from softness, not force.

I just shared a new blog post on how to set a sankalpa that comes from the heart and how to work with it on and off the mat.
