Feed the bees please 🐝

In the last 5 years the bee population has dropped by 1/3. If bees were to disappear from the face of the earth, humans would have just 4 years left to live. This time of year bees can often look like they are dying or dead, however, they're far from it. Bees can become tired and they simply don't have enough energy to return to the hive which can often result in being swept away. If you find a tired bee in your home, a simple solution of sugar and water will help revive an exhausted bee. Simply mix two tablespoons of white, granulated sugar with one tablespoon of water, and place on a spoon for the bee to reach. You can also help by sharing this post to raise awareness.

Repressed emotions will almost always eventually show up in the body as physical pain. Acknowledging our feelings isn't easy. Sometimes we need to stop and check in during the day: "Self, what's happening for you?" There's often no fixing required. Feeling, acknowledging and gentle loving kindness toward oneself usually keeps emotions from congesting the body. (Though writing can also be a powerful tool).

I retreat to deepen my connection with self and nature. To learn teachings that call my soul home. To meet strangers who become family. To hear the stories of fellow travelers and locals, and the stories held in the bricks of old churches and the branches of even older trees. I retreat for myself. And for my family and community. I fill my cup so that I, in turn, can pour into the cups of others.

My heart is full. I will pour my inspiration into the September retreat which I will post in the coming week. 🦋🙏🏻

At the conclusion of our 12 week chakra circle in winter, we listed our immediate bucket list items... things we wanted to work toward in the coming months. I wanted to complete the 2 manuscripts on my plate but I also wanted to sit with my favourite teachers. I had to pick one. I joked that I would finish the manuscripts and then sit with my teachers. Yesterday, I forwarded the manuscripts on for representation and this evening I had this great honour...
Intention and attention. Focus and flow.
