"I have ALOT of different things going on at any given time, but this current adventure is incredibly important to me.
Healing Through Ink: My Journey Into Trauma-Informed Tattooing
Tattooing has always been about more than just art for me. Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand how a tattoo can mark a new beginning, honor a loss, or reclaim something that was taken. But until recently, I didn’t have the language—or the tools—to fully support those who come to me carrying stories of pain, survival, and transformation. That’s why I’ve made the decision to take my practice deeper by incorporating a trauma-informed approach to tattooing.
What is Trauma-Informed Tattooing?
A trauma-informed approach means understanding that our bodies carry the weight of our experiences—both the joyful and the painful. It means recognizing that getting a tattoo can be more than just an aesthetic decision; for many, it’s a way to regain control, acknowledge trauma, and move forward with intention. This approach isn’t just about covering scars—it’s about honoring your story, holding space for healing, and turning pain into empowerment.
My Commitment to This Work
To deepen my understanding and better serve my clients, I’m currently taking a workshop with Stacie-Rae Weir—a pioneer in trauma-informed tattooing. Stacie-Rae has dedicated her career to bridging tattoo artistry with energy healing, breathwork, and intentional practices that help clients acknowledge their trauma and reclaim their bodies. Through this training, I’m learning how to integrate these techniques into my own work, ensuring that each tattoo session is a safe and transformative experience.
How This Affects Your Tattoo Experience
For those seeking tattoos as part of their healing journey, I offer a space where you are heard, respected, and in control every step of the way. Some key elements of this approach include:
Energy Awareness – Bringing mindfulness and intention into the tattooing process
Breathwork – Helping clients stay present, grounded, and connected to their bodies
Consent & Comfort – Ensuring every part of the experience, from placement to pacing, feels safe and empowering
Collaborative Design – Creating a piece that tells your story in a way that feels right for you
Is This Right for You?
If you are seeking a tattoo to honor your journey, close a painful chapter, or reclaim your body after trauma, this approach may be exactly what you need. If you’re unsure, I invite you to book a consultation where we can discuss your vision and determine the best way to move forward.
This work is deeply important to me, and I am honored to share it with you. If you’d like to learn more about Stacie-Rae’s work, you can visit her website here: https://www.stacie-rae.com/healing
I believe that art has the power to heal. And if you’re ready, I’d love to help you tell your story—one meaningful mark at a time."
