Meet Naomi Weston, one of the dynamic partners of Smile Breathe Yoga!
🎤🎻
Naomi is also a classically trained musician! She took 3 years of classical piano because her mom made it a rule that all her children had to. She did not enjoy it at all! But thankfully, a few years later, she decided to pick up the viola, and absolutely loved it. She has also always enjoyed singing and has played just for fun, but changes during the pandemic pushed her to join a band!

They just released their first album in August! She believes that it is important to follow what you are passionate about, and share that passion with the world!💜

Did you know? Utthita trikonasana is more than just extending the torso and stretching the legs?

Triangle pose teaches us balance and helps us experience structure versus freedom. Feeling your legs grounding into the earth forms one triangle and extending your torso to reach your arm down to the front leg forms a second triangle. Here is your foundational structure, but as we gaze up towards the top hand, we feel a lifted sense of freedom and an open heart.

In dental, we have the freedom to book our clients with the time we need, and we follow a structure to make an appointment run smoothly.

Stiff shoulders?
Here are two of our favourite asanas to sneak in between clients or after work. Holding for 5-8 breaths helps relieve tension and stress.
🦷
Gomukasana (cow face pose) with a strap: helps with shoulders and strengthens the chest and back
🦷
Garudasana (eagle) arms: helps with shoulders and stretches out the back
🦷
Remember to breathe into the pose and allow it to circulate and soften out tense areas.
