❤️‍🩹What’s the link between TMJ disorder and headaches?

The first thing to know is that you have two temporomandibular joints — one on either side of the jaw. These joints are like sliding hinges that connect your jawbone to your skull.

TMJ disorder is when these joints don’t work correctly or cause pain in the muscles around the TMJ in the head, neck and jaw or in the jaw joints themselves.

But what if a gentle, effective solution to the pain of TMJ headaches was available in a locality close to you?

🫶 At Osteo Health, we offer a full range of gentle and effective treatments to work on the TMJ itself and relieve the tension associated with TMJ headaches.

🤓Let's go over osteopathic treatment for persistent cough symptoms following COVID.

😣Long-lasting coughing fits are a common symptom of upper respiratory infections and are your body's way of emptying your lungs and throat of mucus and chesty muck.

😯Have you ever considered how your body employs other muscles in addition to stiffening your spine and rib cage to clear your airways when you cough?

😯Did you know that muscles behind the sternum (breastbone) pull it inwards when you cough? Even after an upper respiratory illness has subsided, these muscles may tighten and keep the sternum in a retracted position. After prolonged coughing, they can become highly stretched and painful to the touch.

🧐 Lateral epicondylitis, better known as tennis elbow, is an over-use injury of the tendons around the outside of your elbow.

Contrary to the name, you don’t have to play tennis to get a tennis elbow. Day-to-day repetitive tasks such as carrying heavy bags or hammering can irritate this area. Activities such as opening jars and doors and typing can become problematic.

First and foremost, you must reduce the activities that irritate your tendon. But the tendon will become more irritated if the stress continues on the tissues. Find ways to modify day-to-day tasks such as opening a jar with the other hand using a cloth and carrying your shopping on your forearm.
