How Loud Is Too Loud⁉️
Noise Induced Hearing Loss doesn’t care if you play for the Calgary Flames.
AirPods, AirPod Max, Beats By Dre, or Bose🎧
The sound quality isn’t the issue, it’s the volume that makes the difference, and more than the volume it’s our own knowledge and awareness around noise induced hearing loss.
We can’t stress enough the importance of wearing hearing protection at concerts, big shows or even sporting events and MORE importantly DONT LISTEN to our headphones/ear buds at max volume.
Musicians are exposed to excessive noise their entire careers — but all it takes is 1️⃣ONE1️⃣ time to cause hearing damage.
Yes, read that again, Only 1️⃣ONE1️⃣ TIME‼️
You may have damaged your inner ear by listening to your headphones too loud, or listening to music in the car, and of course at a concert without proper hearing protection.
So the next time you go to rock out to your fave song in the car, or at the gym think about the volume and how quickly your hearing could be damaged permanently. We promise the music will still sound just as good at a safe volume!
You can also help by educating your friends and family.
The key to avoiding noise induced Tinnitus is knowing about it, and that comes from sharing knowledge with our loved ones.
Do you ever have ringing in your ears out of nowhere, or maybe it sounds like hissing, buzzing, whistling or roaring?
There is a chance that you don’t even realize that you’re suffering from Tinnitus.
Maybe you’ve excepted the ringing, or it’s mild and sporadic so you ignore it.
You don’t need to live with the discomfort, or the hearing loss that you may be experiencing.
We are here to help! If you have any questions or you want to come in and chat with one of our clinicians, please don’t hesitate to send us a DM or give us a call.
