“…. It is possible that the next Buddha will not take the form of an individual. The next Buddha may take the form of a community. A community practicing understanding and loving kindness. A community practicing mindful living. The practice can be carried out as a group, as a city, as a nation.” —Thich Nhat Hanh, “The Next Buddha May Be A Sangha”

In light of the growing concerns in worldy affairs it soon became apperant that social media was only crushing my spirit. I am ultra senstive to division and the hurt people are throwing at each other. In response, I (Ray) am bringing Sangha back and using this platform to rebuild a sense of community. The way I envision this includes people sharing the medicines that unite us and the medicines that help all of us find balance and compassion. As such, let's find our common ground. That is, a space where we can relate with each other. Honour the birth rights displayed on the front page and let's stand up against division and bring community back together.
While your input is welcome, I have a special request that I send out to Quebec, Indegenous, and the Maritimes to share in the songs you sing that bring people together. Why Quebec, Indegenous (love the morning song) and the Maratimes? Because they are frickin awesome and they sing songs in ways that warm the heart. Not to discount other contributions.
So, let's rebuild community founded on compassion and common ground.
Blessings
Ray ❤️

Hello community,
With uncertian times I have have been called to reawaken the Sangha community page. The vision is to create a space for people to share, discuss, and support each other through discussion, and gatherings.
This is not a place to push one's ideas upon others. It's a place to rediscover our common ground. That is, what we share in common.
The rules are tied in with everyone's rights and responsibilities. This includes:
1) the right to feel safe, included, and a part of community.
2) the right to choose for yourself what you like and don't like.
3) the right to create your own path in life.
4) the right to love and be loved
5) the right to communicate. Which includes listening to other people's side.
6) the right to see truth, options, and possibilities.
7) the right to know.

Within discussions, check in with these rights and responsibilities to ensure they are respected.

Now, let's see if we can rebuild a community despite our differences
Love Ray

We are heading into our annual fundraiser for Sangha: A Festival of Medicine 2020.
Our fundraisers continue to evolve as we have stepped deeply into the world of theatre with our shows.
November 16, 2019 at West Village Theatre we put together a show called Theatrum.
Theatrum tells the story of theatre. From theatre etiquette and set up to the history, mythologies, rituals and tragedies.
To tell the story we have 11 different performances. From comedy to dance. Opera to Puppets. Acrobats to story telling.
To compliment the experience we have a theatre photo booth, face painting, silent auction table, service bar with organic wines, amazing Dj's, and day time workshops based on donations. They include: The Art of Story Telling and the Art of Stage Make Up.
Check out the itinerary and prepare for an engaging night of theatre.
Family friendly.
