Tom Barthel Consulting is an expert service in providing help for parents of troubled teens in Calgary, Alberta. TBC teaches parents how to deal with a rebellious teenager who is beginning to experiment with drugs, drinking, or self defeating behavior and the parent is afraid it is going to spiral out of control. who has already lost control, maybe broken the law, possibly become an addict, and is engaged in partying and self destructive behavior. The success rate with parents who are willing to create specific rules for their household and their relationship with the child is very high. Tom Barthel gets his experience from being a straight A student and Boy-Scout with national citizenship awards and then becoming a troubled teenager by the time he was 17. On drugs, committing crimes, and in jail by the time he was 17, Tom went on to become a well known local drug dealer who was near death with a mental illness at 23 years old. Tom survived, experienced a miraculous intervention by a selection of adults and his parents, and went to get his first adult job, first home purchase, and retirement savings by the time he was 27 years old.
