AI will w**d out a lot of mediocrity, which is not, in my mind, a bad thing. Therefore, I will continue to learn, work, and engage all available skills to keep moving forward as a professional engineer. I will continue to push for greatness, authenticity, innovation, originality, and this is what AI doesn’t do. Therefore, songwriting and mixing live performances while honing my craft will continue making me irreplaceable.

There is no secret that with the shutdown of the Alberta Live Entertainment scene, many of us were shelved and plans halted. When I was pretty much forced into closure in March 2020, there were a lot of things I needed to consider. The one thing I opted to pursue was going back to my roots; going back to the reason I became a sound guy - I was writing and playing original compositions and ended up being the sound guy for others because I was a better sound tech than a musician. I then dove deep into Audio Engineering that eventually lead to me to opening up Nero Productions Group Inc. I was still doing studio work more frequently than concerts at that point. As the company grew, concerts and festivals became my main focus. I have greatly missed the creative processes of composition and artist expression available through song writing.

I have completed pre-production for a few others and have heard from Mixing Engineers how great it is to have clean, consistent tone and volume as a starting point on the tracks I have supplied. This has resulted in a much shorter mix down session than expected, with a better outcome. This has also allowed projects to remain on budget. For this reason I have opted to come to the market with my offer now fully operational and public. I would be honoured to assist those of you who are also recording at home through this season, and allow me to add polish and maybe bump a few cents of pitch up or down as needed to keep you locked in. This past weekend I got to mix side-stage for and it was great to be part of the band in this way opposed to being 150 feet away at front of house like I normally hide out. Happy to do it again, and - again!!
