There’s something quietly powerful about doorways.

A doorway is not a destination. It’s a decision point.

It asks a simple but uncomfortable question:
Will you stay where you are, or will you step forward into something unknown?

Every doorway represents a transition... between who you’ve been and who you’re becoming. Behind you is familiarity. Ahead of you is possibility. And right in the middle is that moment of pause where fear, hope, grief, excitement, and courage all exist at the same time.

Most people don’t get stuck because the next room is wrong.
They get stuck because standing in the doorway feels vulnerable.

Doorways require movement. They don’t reward certainty — they reward willingness.

You don’t need to know exactly what’s on the other side. You only need to trust that staying frozen in the threshold keeps you living half in the past and half in the future, never fully alive in either.

Growth doesn’t always arrive with confidence.
Sometimes it arrives with shaky knees and a deep breath.

If you’re standing in a doorway right now — emotionally, professionally, spiritually — this is your reminder:

You don’t have to rush.
You don’t have to be fearless.
You just have to take the next step.

If a doorway presents itself in your life — emotionally, professionally, spiritually — take it. That moment isn’t random; it’s an invitation to expand. You don’t need perfect clarity or a flawless plan, momentum will meet you once you move. Step through. Claim the threshold. Because on the other side isn’t just something new waiting for you… it’s more of you, more alive, more aligned, and ready for what’s next.

✨ Make It a Tradition: Vision Boards With Your Girlfriends ✨ My favorite way to start the new year!

There’s something powerful about starting the new year gathered with women you trust, laugh with, and feel safe dreaming out loud beside. Creating an annual vision board night isn’t just fun, it’s deeply supportive, bonding, and surprisingly neuroscience-backed.

Why Vision Boards Work (The Neuroscience, Made Simple)

Your brain doesn’t clearly distinguish between imagined experiences and real ones. When you visualize something vividly (images, emotions, sensory details) the same neural networks activate as if you’re actually experiencing it.

Here’s what’s happening:

Visual imagery strengthens neural pathways associated with motivation and goal-directed behavior

Emotion + imagery = memory encoding, which makes your intentions more “sticky”

Your reticular activating system (RAS); the brain’s filtering system, starts noticing opportunities aligned with what you’ve been repeatedly visualizing

Positive imagery can trigger neurotransmitters like dopamine (motivation) and oxytocin (connection), reinforcing action and confidence

In short: what you repeatedly imagine, your brain starts preparing you for.

How to Plan the Evening

Keep it relaxed, meaningful, and a little magical ✨

Set the tone

Choose a cozy space (living room, dining table, floor cushions)

Soft lighting, candles, gentle music

Phones away if possible, taking this time to be present is luxurious

Simple menu ideas (in case you needed them!)

Charcuterie or snack boards

Tea, mocktails, or wine

Something sweet (because joy matters)

Opening ritual (5 minutes)

Invite everyone to share one thing they’re proud of from the past year

Set an intention for the night: clarity, expansion, ease, courage

How to Create the Vision Boards

You don’t need to be “creative”, just curious.

Supplies (inexpensive from the dollar store)

Poster board or cardstock

Magazines, printed images, or quotes (ask guests to bring some to share)

Scissors, glue, markers

Optional: stickers, washi tape, crystals, dried flowers

Step-by-step

1. Pause before cutting:
Invite everyone to close their eyes and imagine how they want the year to feel (not just what they want to achieve).

2. Choose images emotionally
If it sparks excitement, calm, or “that’s it” energy, use it.

3. Less thinking, more sensing
Let intuition lead. This accesses deeper subconscious motivation.

4. Add words sparingly
Phrases like ease, alignment, freedom, vitality land more powerfully than long lists.

5. Seal it in
Once finished, take a moment to imagine living inside that board—where are you, how do you feel, who are you becoming?

Make It a Living Practice

Place your board somewhere you’ll really see it daily

Revisit it often, notice what’s already unfolding

Share wins with your group throughout the year

✨ The real magic isn’t just the board.... it’s the connection, safety, laughter, and shared belief that growth gets to be joyful.

Here’s to starting the year surrounded by women who remind you who you are, and who you’re becoming 💛

A beautiful soul sent this to me a long time ago. Every so often I read it to remind myself that someone in this world felt this way about me and was gracious enough to nourish me with this note.

Let's normalize lifting each other up like this. Not just by saying it, write it on a card and remind someone who they are. I guarantee they'll keep it and pull it out when they need that reminder.

And to whomever sent this to me, thank you. This gesture meant more to me than you could ever know.

The holidays bring a lot of things, twinkling lights, familiar smells, traditions rich with memory… and sometimes, family dynamics that stretch our patience a little (or a lot).

One of the most powerful things we can do before stepping into holiday gatherings is to set intentions.
Not expectations of how others should behave, but intentions for how we want to show up within it.

Examples of Intentions:
• I intend to stay grounded, even if others feel overwhelmed.
• I intend to listen before reacting.
• I intend to protect my peace without guilt.
• I intend to notice what feels good; connection, laughter, the small moments.
• I intend to take space if I need it, breathe, then return if I choose.

When we go in without intention, we’re more likely to be pulled into old roles, old reactions, and old emotional patterns. The brain is wired to follow the strongest signal and whatever we’re focused on, we amplify.

🧠 The Neuroscience Behind It:
The brain has a filtering system called the Reticular Activating System (RAS). Its job is to scan, sort, and highlight information based on what your mind has been thinking about. In simple terms:

🧠 What we think about, we notice more.
🧠What we expect, we tend to find.
🧠 What we mentally rehearse, we react to automatically.

If you anticipate conflict, your brain will look for micro-tension.
If you expect irritation, you’ll spot it fast.
But if you intentionally focus on peace, kindness, or connection, your brain begins to filter for that instead.

Setting intentions shifts the experience before you even walk in the room.

So as the holidays approach, ask yourself:

❤️ Who do I want everyone to feel about me going into the New Year?
🧠 What do I want my brain searching for?
🥰 What emotional tone do I choose to bring with me?
😂 Am I willing to let people be wrong?

We can’t control others but we can shape our internal landscape, and that changes everything about how we move through the moment.

Take a breath. Set your intention.
Give your nervous system a direction.
And let the holidays unfold.

Our Story

Hypnotherapy has been around for centuries, it has been studied extensively, it has been depicted in movies and hypnosis itself has been used for entertainment in the form of stage shows. Many forms of therapy utilize hypnosis without actually calling it hypnosis for fear of frightening away those who could benefit from it. Many are surprised to learn that in fact, most major hospitals have someone trained in Hypnotherapy on staff. However it is an unregulated industry, many insufficiently trained Hypnotherapists hang up shingles and take the hard earned money of those desperate for relief or a cure. When the suggestion to try it was first introduced to me, I thought it was pretty weird and reluctantly agreed to attempt a few sessions in the hopes of relief for my own anxiety disorder. Upon recognizing that it actually helped I began this journey of education and discovery; why did it work, how did it work? Eventually I came to the realization that helping people recover from anxiety, depression, PTSD, complex PTSD and any other subconscious obstacles preventing them from becoming their happiest, best selves was indeed my true calling. For over 8 years I have been doing exactly that.

So how does this work? How do I work? In addition to various psychotherapy approaches, Clinical Hypnotherapy can help you rehabilitate your brain, helping calm overactive areas of the brain and activate the areas that are under firing in turn encouraging new neural connections. I focus on the concept of “neuro-plasticity,” which means your neurons can create new pathways of communication, the more relaxed the brain is, the more plastic your brain is. This can help you develop new habits, new ways of thinking and feeling, the ability to make better decisions, and to reduce or alleviate addictive tendencies.

I have trained with some of the world's leading Neuro-Psychotherapy, Hypnotherapy and Meditation Instructors, some as far away as Australia. My training is continuous, learning new techniques as new discoveries are made fuels my passion for what I do. Most of my clients are referred to me via word of mouth, because when you finally find that "thing" that changes your life in such a profound way you tell your friends.
