✨ Did you guess age 7?
The Canadian Association of Orthodontists recommends an orthodontic screening no later than age 7. ✅
Most parents assume braces begin once all permanent teeth are in — but by age 7, enough adult teeth have emerged to identify developing issues with:
• Jaw growth
• Bite alignment
• Crowding
• Spacing
Early screening doesn’t always mean early treatment.
Often, it simply means monitoring growth and choosing the right time to intervene — which can save time, discomfort, and expense later.
💙 At Dental Care for Children, orthodontic care is led by Dr. Phoebe Good — trained at Columbia, Harvard, and UCSF.
We offer:
• Early orthodontic screening
