Chelsey Billings has been a Registered Massage Therapist for 6 years, trained in B.C. and worked in B.C., Alberta, and now St. John’s, Newfoundland. She became a Certified Lymph Therapist in May 2017, trained in Manual Lymph Drainage and Combined Decongestive Therapy through Dr. Vodder School International.
Chelsey grew up in Northern B.C. as an avid athlete, playing many sports and activities. After high school graduation, she played a year of college basketball in Alberta. After a basketball-ending injury, she took a year off to do some career soul-searching, which led her to apply and be accepted into the West Coast College of Massage Therapy's RMT program in New Westminster, BC. She graduated in December 2011, passed her registration exams in February 2012, and immediately started practicing in BC.
Later in 2012, she had a hand injury which eventually led to 3 surgeries and a joint replacement. By this time, she had moved to southern Alberta, where she continued working and rehabilitating her hand. After spending 3 years in Alberta, she moved back to Northern B.C. where she became extremely busy in her RMT practice.
In May 2017 she decided to complete her Manual Lymph Drainage certification through Dr. Vodder School International, successfully given the designation Certified Lymph Therapist.
In April 2018, she relocated to St. John's, N.L., where she is working to build up her knowledge and education of lymphatic therapy. She is a member of the NLMTA, CMTNL and an active member of the Lymphedema Association of Newfoundland and Labrador (LANL).
Not only can she treat lymphedema, but she also enjoys working with a wide variety of people, such as those suffering from daily aches and pains and old injuries, those "Weekend Warrior's", various athletes, etc.
Outside of the massage clinic, she can be found in the kitchen trying and experimenting with new recipes, hiking the rocky terrain of Newfoundland, hanging out with her pup Lily, or out and about the island trying to find the best Fish n' Chips in Newfoundland and Labrador.
