"🚨 Important Announcement for PEBC Exam Candidates! 🚨

Big changes are coming to the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC) Evaluating Examination starting June 2025. If you're preparing for the exam, here's what you need to know:

📚 Updated Exam Blueprint

Elimination of Biomedical Sciences: This subject will no longer be a separate section, as it's already covered in pharmacy curricula.

Redistribution of Content:

Pharmaceutical Sciences: 25% of the exam.

Pharmacy Practice: Increased emphasis, now 55%.

Behavioural, Social, and Administrative (BSA) Pharmacy Sciences: 20%.

New Topics Added:

Health equity, social determinants of health, Indigenous health, and cultural safety, reflecting modern healthcare priorities.

⏳ Changes to Exam Format

Questions Reduced: From 150 to 140.

Two Sections: Each section has 70 questions, with 84 minutes per section.

📅 Timeline for Changes

The current format will remain in place for the October 2024, January 2025, and March 2025 sittings.

The new blueprint takes effect starting June 2025.

These updates ensure that the exam aligns with the skills and knowledge required for contemporary pharmacy practice in Canada.

In Baghdad the first pharmacies, or drug stores, were established in 754, under the Abbasid Caliphate during the Islamic Golden Age. By the ninth century, these pharmacies were state-regulated.
