🚧 Groundbreaking News! 🚒

We’re proud to announce the official groundbreaking of the Highland Park Fire Station and Training Centre in Airdrie!

Our team at SAHURI + Partners is honoured to partner with the Airdrie Fire Department to design a modern, resilient, and efficient facility that will support firefighters and serve the community for generations to come.

This new fire hall represents more than just bricks and mortar—it’s a commitment to public safety, preparedness, and the brave individuals who answer the call every day.

This afternoon we celebrated the official groundbreaking of the new Highland Park Fire Station and Training Centre. This will be the city’s fourth fire station, and the first located in the City’s NE quadrant. The facility will feature a four-bay fire station, a fire training tower, training classrooms, and space to accommodate the City’s primary Emergency Command Centre. Today's groundbreaking marked a significant milestone as part of Airdrie's ongoing commitment to public safety and community service. Construction on the facility is expected to be completed late 2026.

We are proud to have worked with Alberta Health Services and Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation on The Summit: Marian & Jim Sinneave Centre for Youth Resilience, which received the prestigious 2024 Wayne McLellan Award of Excellence in Healthcare Facilities Management.

The project was also featured in the Fall 2024 edition of the Journal of Canadian Healthcare Engineering Society. As Calgary’s first dedicated centre for child and adolescent mental health, The Summit is at the forefront of addressing the pressing challenges facing today’s youth.

Happy World Architecture Day!

Today, October 7th, we celebrate World Architecture Day, a global recognition of architecture's profound impact on our lives. As Architects, we are honoured to play a vital role in shaping the built environment, transforming spaces, and enhancing communities.

We are also proud to see our projects being celebrated!

Today on CTV's The Social, 50th Parallel Estate Winery will be featured as a tie-in to celebrate . Located in beautiful Lake Country, British Columbia, this multiple award-winning building continues to impress.

Sweláps Market in Kamloops, British Columbia was a category winner at the 2024 Thompson Okanagan Commercial Building Awards. The market is a vibrant market destination where freshness, culture, and quality are paramount. Owned and operated by Tḱemlúps te Secwépemc, this independent, community-driven grocery store spans 22,000 sf., offering a comprehensive selection typical of traditional grocery stores.

The Children's Cottage Society's Child and Family Centre was a finalist at the 2024 EIFS Architectural Design Awards this summer. The Centre provides a 24/7 safe haven where children can take a break from stressful situations and receive nurturing care while their parents get the help they need.

Great progress on the new Community Centre and Administration Building for the Cheslatta Carrier First Nation!

Check out the progress that has been made on this project we are working on for Cheslatta Carrier First Nation. We've highlighted this project a few times now, starting with the foundation in August, 2023. Thanks to Marmot Builders for sending us another amazing shot!

In addition to Marmot, we are teamed up on this one with: SAHURI + Partners Architecture Inc., L&M Engineering Limited, Lazzarin Svisdahl Landscape Architects, Mirkwood Engineering, and NRS Engineering Ltd.

Today is the day that Calgary becomes home to it's very first infant surrender site, the Hope's Cradle.

The Children's Cottage Society and Gems for Gems, alongside valued donors, are honoured to have worked together to make this momentous occasion possible and we hope you'll join us in raising awareness about this life saving initiative and our new location in Calgary, AB hosted at our new Child and Family Centre on 1804 Home Road NW!

Carrier Sekani Family Services is thrilled to announce a momentous step forward in the development of the Foundry Burns Lake centre with a generous contribution of $600,000 from Rio Tinto BC Works- Get Involved Nechako to go towards the construction and operation of the centre.
