I can’t tell you how grateful I am to have you here. I am a licensed therapist and Masters level Registered Social Worker and founder of The Healing Hive Therapy Co. I have always wanted to open a practice of my own to transform traditional mental health care and provide authentic, relatable and accessible support. I specialize in trauma and providing modern and quality mental health care for adolescents, young adults and adults in Alberta. I’m especially passionate about working with women! I received my Masters of Clinical Social Work at The University of Calgary specializing in trauma-informed care. I also received my Bachelor of Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies (BCR) from The University of Calgary, where I spent much of time participating in student advocacy and facilitating community events as the president of the CRDS Student’s Association. However, my passion for inclusion and advocacy started long before my university journey…
I’ve worked in the social services field for over 12 years. The settings that I’ve worked in range from non-profit (Calgary Distress Centre, Hull Services, Between Friends, Cerebral Palsy Kids and Families, Christine Meikle School, PACEkids) to private practice. My BCR degree and background working with the most vulnerable populations have fostered my belief that mental health care should be accessible and that everyone’s unique experience and identity deserves to be understood.
