Heather says: This Hatha inspired class is designed to gently bring us to the edge of our practice. Using props, we will explore the polar sensations of strength and release. This class combines endurance and isometric movements. The intention is to safely explore our limits where the right amount of stress within the body will build physical and mental strength. The energy generated in the first 40 minutes of class will be countered by a cooldown designed to release the mind and body of tension and prepare us for a restful evening.
2021 200HR Graduate Melissa will begin her weekly Aerial Yoga class Thursday @6:30pm. 🙌🏻 (We are waitlisted for this week so be sure to plan ahead!)

Teacher’s will make mistakes! My experience is showing students you are humble and imperfect, is a trait of being a great teacher - always in that beginner mind.
- It’s all about how you handle it. -
The type of class, the energy of the students, and your personality will decide this in that moment.
When you study and practice with the AYC, you will build the confidence and skills to make a mistake turn into an opportunity.
Join our 200HR Yoga Teacher Training on September 12 and learn all the skills required to become a confident certified yoga teacher.
During a candid conversation with friends we chatted about this topic and shared our unique stories. A wonderful conversation about how finding yoga, finding physical movement, and finding community gave us what we needed at the time.
The conversation revealed that as life changes and evolves so do the needs we look our yoga to fulfill and it has yet to let us down.
I know, I know! For those who have not discovered yoga it all seems a little unrealistic. But there is a reason why this practice has existed for centuries and why its popularity in the western world exploded. Secret! 🤫 It’s not about the stretchy pants!
WHAT KEEPS YOU COMING TO YOUR YOGA?
PS: If you are reading this and have considered finding a yoga community and have yet to take that step, ask yourself, what is holding you back? The risk is low but the chance of reward is extremely high. 🙌🏻
In this case, what intention might you be working within to use airplane arms?
🧘🏽♀️In our 200HR Yoga Teaching Training we talk a lot about intention. Why? Because it is having a purpose within the pose that will provide your students a varied experience. Ukatasana (Chair Pose) can be taught in every class but when you vary it either by physical form, within lines of tension, by closing the eyes - the list can go on - your students get to having a different experience each time. THIS is what makes practice and teaching so exciting!
🧘🏻♂️Join us September 12 and learn more about the depths of yoga, how to elevate your practice, and inspire others through teaching.
Your yoga journey at the AYC awaits!
🧘🏽♂️With instruction from industry experts in yoga, anatomy, philosophy, and more, we provide you all the knowledge to become a confident yoga teacher.
🧘🏿What are the key components to begin with for Downward Dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana)? How do I change/modify this for students? How do I provide my class intention through the pose?
🧘🏻♂️Join us September 12 to find these answers and so much more.

You may have seen beautiful photos of Aerial Yoga poses that are picturesque and gravity defying. They are beautiful and I assure you they are also accessible. ‘Yoga is not only for the flexible, it's for the willing’ and the same applies for Aerial Yoga.
In this 2HR hour workshop you will explore ways to use the silk to deepen, strengthen and ease familiar yoga pose.
Vrkasana (tree pose) standing in the silk and allowing all the weight to release the planter fascia and your holding the silk so you don't have to worry about balance?
Have you ever experienced a Sirsasana (headstand) with the gravity defying release of the whole spine? Adho Mukha Svanasana (downward dog) with more energy rising up then grounding down?
Let's take the poses you already know and them make more playful, fun and dynamic!

Open-mindedness, universal consciousness, truth, communication
🧘🏼♀️Join Bonnie tonight for the final class of her unique Element Series.
The most subtle of the elements, Ether is all about space and openness. This element governs communication, intuition, and spiritual awareness and permeates and connects everything together.
When Ether is balanced, we feel secure, supported, accepted, understood, and still. We feel deeply connected to others, ourselves, life, nature, the universe, and our highest consciousness. Balance allows for clear, truthful expression and communication.
When Ether is unbalanced, it can create blockages: Energetically, we may feel closed off, or as if we can’t get enough time or space.
This element is best balanced and strengthened through meditation, awareness, and mindfulness.
In our Restorative practice, we will focus on the feeling of structural integrity and release for maximum spaciousness, openness, and ease. A Meditation practice will help us connect to our inner voice, while gently reminding us that the space inside ourselves is the same space that exists in all other beings.
This class is suitable for:
-Curious yogis interested in exploring breathwork and meditation alongside thoughtfully sequenced movement practices
-Practitioners looking to experience yoga in varying styles
