Throwback to peak leanness right before I ran a 2:53 marathon last summer to set a new 11 minute PR.

- Collagen

Optional adds

Throwback to last year when I intentionally ate a ton of ultra-processed food.

Nothing dramatic happened. That’s the issue.
Mood off. Energy weird. Training felt harder. Recovery slower.

UPF doesn’t usually blow your life up.
It just quietly limits how good you could feel.

I still eat junk food. This isn’t purity. It’s awareness.

I also did another experiment this summer and didn’t even post it. I like doing weird stuff on myself. How can you ask a client to do something you haven’t felt firsthand.

I was always the kid who had to touch the hot burner a few times to get it.

Really grateful for this weekend. Met and learned from some really inspiring and successful business owners in the fitness industry.

It’s like the famous quote of “you are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with”

I often tell my clients a version of this but with fitness.

If you want to build a body you’ve never had before, tackle a scary challenge/race you’ve never done before….any sort of big personal growth & challenge…

You’re gonna have to take action you’ve never taken before. The easiest way to speed up that process is to surround yourself with people who have done what you’re trying to do.

Folks who are moving in the same direction you are, going through similar challenges and experiences.

Weirdly enough, 1+1 ends up = 3

What an incredible weekend in Nashville. Thanks and the whole crew for the great event - ready to implement and make some things happen within .ca

Also a side note but shoutout to , we did a SERIOUS leg day last night before I crushed a bazillion beers on broadway with the group.

This clip is from a cool leg machine that we were doing sets of 6-8 reps of reverse lunges. We also did Pendalay Squats, GHD hamstring curls, leg extensions and sled pushes. Sheesh!

Maybe this is your sign….go hit your legs 💪🏼

Double IRONMAN was no joke 🏊‍♂️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️

This clip was captured in 2021 immediately after 2 buddies and myself did a 4-ish hour, 11km swim off the coast of Cape Breton in Nova Scotia.

Then we jumped on our bikes and ran for another 500+ kms and 50+ hours.

It’s safe to say I’m not in a rush to do another one of these anytime soon 😂

✅ 2:52 (+1 min for my traditional mid-race p**p stop… it’s a habit now).

Massive S/O to the savage in the IRONMAN hat. Around 36 km, he passed me, looked back, and instantly lit a fire in me. ..

I took that personally.

My legs were screaming, but all I could hear was Goggins in my head telling me not to be a lil’ bitch.

From there it was war — 6 km of straight leapfrogging. Iron sharpens iron, and this dude was a weapon… but at 41.5 km, I took his soul for good. (Photo #4)

Sometimes, you need an “enemy” that doesn’t actually exist to pull the absolute best out of yourself. Today, that worked.
